Tell me exactly what has been done so far about these cyclists? You built cycling paths on the roads, that's good but let's be realistic, not all roads are suitable for cyclists; it is as such with heavy vehicles, cars, motorcyclists etc... and now you want to squeeze cyclists?
And when the cyclists dies, especially when they dont adhere to road regulations which all other motorists are supposed to do when driving on the roads, the driver gets it.
Did we sit back and think about how ridiculous this is? We ban PMDs on the roads etc.. but some of these road bicycles can reach 40+ km/h on straight roads and in a descent they can go up to 60km/h or more.
Oh, and I cycle too, but I dont cycle on the roads like that, I cycle along park connectors and at most designated cycling paths.
Why can't we just make it absolutely illegal for bicycles to be on the roads?
