So if I'm on mc can I still be able to go out and socialize? Because my OC doesn't allow it he said that I'm on MC so i can step out of the house

I dunno how you interpret I said that.

Whether you can be on social visit or not, is up to your commanders. I thought you mentioned “I'm fine being confined at home 24/7 but not in tekong”? Sounds fishy now.

Do note that if you go out on MC without permission, it is a chargeable offence and when that happen, then maybe your mind will tell you a lot of stuff then...

depends. if you kena caught drinking is straight gg. you go eat food still can.

if they visit u at home while u on mc n u not at home, n they call u, u still can lie say ur parents bring u out for tcm, or go out eat etc. of course, make sure your parents get their story straight too. nothing wrong for parent to bring their sick child out to eat/seek alternative medical treatment.

the official definition of malingering
Malingering (s 32): There are three forms of malingering:

Falsely pretending to suffer from an illness.
Deliberately injuingr oneself or any person, or causing oneself to be injured by any person, and doing so with the intent to render oneself or the other person to be rendered unfit for service.
Doing anything to produce, prolong or aggravate any sickness with the intent to render or keep himself unfit for duty or service.
Maximum sentence: 12 months imprisonment
basically they need proof that you are "falsely pretending".

MC can go out or not, sure can. But is about seeking permission. Don’t get TS into trouble, later cause his mind already telling him a lot of stuff he never use his mind think, go out without seeking permission end up really go back to Tekong to do what his mind tells him to.

Still tell him to lie somemore.

He is not asking whether specialist will give mc, he’s somehow asking whether he will be allowed to see specialist to get mc

By stepping out of the house my meaning is can I still to visit my doctor at the imh? I'm just afraid that my MO wont endorse Mc from imh and charge me for AWOL for taking mc from imh and also since my mom is not always home and I have to inform them that I am going to have lunch is making it hard for me I'm already so hungry and to get permission I need to wait 1 hour for a reply

There shouldn't be any reason you can't. But I will urge you to INFORM (NOT ASK) your commanders about your intention to visit your doctor at IMH. They may try to be difficult with you and insist you go back to camp to see your MO instead, but your MO may still very well still send you to your doctor at IMH. Alternatively, you can try to convince them that you need to see your doctor at IMH. However, if they still say no, and you choose to go against their order, you may very well be charged with disobeying lawful orders (they never deny your need to seek medical help, but that doesn't mean they cannot make it difficult for you to seek the medical help YOU WANT. So cannot really say they unreasonable, given that they say go see MO first).

Also, there shouldn't be any opportunity for them to charge you with AWOL what. If you get MC from IMH doctor, you may very well be asked to visit MO on the very day you get it to endorse your MC. So even if the MO decides not to endorse it for whatever reason, there is no opportunity for them to charge you with AWOL what.

Also why need to wait 1 hour for a reply? You get permission through snail mail?

you on mc, go out of home dont need seek permission unless going overseas. if you get caught, at most is unofficial charge of 'malingering'. to officially get charge of malingering you need proof that the person is malingering, and will often result getting the doctor who gave the mc to be involved.
if he kena house visit, and is not at home, TS just needs a valid excuse. if he says he alone go out eat, he have to be able to get back within a reasonable timeframe. but if ur commanders alrdy go visit u, chances are they are looking to punish u. so your best bet is to get your parents to speak up for u. regulars balls shrink when parents start talking to them.

even so, a person who has known psychological issues will often get away scottfree. they are not permitted to hold gun, or liable to any duty. even if confinement, also 8 to 5, and need to have hourly supervision by the duty personnel.
most units bosses will not punish these ppl either. the confinement room have to be clear of sharp objects, and during confinement, if any of these ppl do anything, their performance rating will definitely drop.

He is not asking whether specialist will give mc, he’s somehow asking whether he will be allowed to see specialist to get mc
that 1 even easier. just exaggerate your concerns but dont make it more serious. like if you have suicidal thought, just say that these sessions are helpful for my condition, and request it to be more frequent.
they will not mind 1. their main concern is nothing happen to you while you are their patient.

all in all, the mental card is the ultimate trump card a NSF can play. you can get away with almost everything. but play it well. dont overplay it.
once you play the mental/imh card, your future is alrdy ruined anyway

this is nonsense. you do not need permission to leave your house. you just need a valid reason to justify you not being at home when your commanders come visit you.
going out to eat is a valid reason. following up on your imh visits is also a valid reason. but, for example, if your mc is from monday to wed. and your imh visit is on thur morning, that 1 then u need to inform your commander that you are going for your medical appointment

depending on your unit, MC might need/need not endorse with MO. but iirc, some minister recently said for years no mc has been not approved before. the MO also have no reason to not approve your MC if its from a singapore registered doctor/clinic.
the only reason a mc is not endorsed is prolly cause its from a tcm

Sad to say, you are not the zheng hu, and whatever you say here you also can’t be held accountable. If he chooses to listen to you about “go out of home dont need seek permission unless going overseas”, and in the end got charged, he is the one who will suffer the consequences and not you, so up to him to believe lor. The mitigating actions that you suggested, also up to him to believe lor.

His commanders already out to get him liao, so you can say all these lor, but whether what you say will be what his commanders do, he can try what you say and face with the consequences (if any) lor…

on mc, go out need seek permission?? what kinda nonsense is this? go out for your basic human right, to fill your stomach, also need seek permission? what drugs are you on?

and as i said, the imh card is the best card.

if commanders are out to get him, give them 1 good 1. tell the imh psychiatrist your commanders are questioning his professionalism, and is always trying to get you into trouble. say that these commanders are constantly trying to test your waters to find fault in the psychiatrist's diagnosis and it is really making your conditions worse. you can even exaggerate things, things that are your word against theirs.

the psychiatrist will write a letter to your CO. from then on you would get immunity to alot of pardonable things and commanders would definitely leave u alone.

you got to be a special kind of stupid for messing with imh nsfs. geez, even if you punch ur CO, your CO will also think twice about issuing formal punishment against a imh NSF.

that sort of nonsense that you wouldn't understand. I am on the sane drugs. If you have the opportunity, or if he wants to give it a shot at heading out while on MC without permission. When you/he gets caught, we see what happens lor. If kena charged and SOL, who accountable? you meh?

no doubting it. but i am pretty sure regardless whether one is NSF or not NSF, but from IMH (implying mental illness), hurting someone doesn't mean you automatically get a get out of jail free card.

you do not need to seek permission to go out for basic necessities like food while on mc. there are no directives on that. so i dont see how one can kena charged/sol. stop fearmongering.

and am not saying having mental illness gives you an out of jail free card for hurting someone. i am saying, an army officer would think twice about pressing charges lest the backlash against him.
everyone would automatically assume and judge the officer's character when they hear the news of a nsf with mental illness hitting an officer. especially so when the unit already knows of his existing mental illness.
if the officer still press charges for formal punishment, the public would paint an even uglier picture of him.
on the other hand, if the officer choose to protect the nsf, and help him, whether he mean it or not, the public opinion on him would be another story. this is what i mean by "think twice".

They said to ask for permission first I was already starving and after 2 hours I got fed up I called the cos office and they call my sergeant to get back to me 15mins later
