This is mine.
Need some advice about my OA.. (I got a sum returned from selling my 1st property about 1.5 years ago).
Given the sky high interest rates now, should I wait for my loan lock-in period to end and then use it to do a partial prepayment of the loan?
Am a bit hesitant about transferring my OA to my SA as I may want to use it for a future property purchase (but that likely won't happen within the next 3-4 years).

Just curious, isn’t MA limit $68,500 this year?

Yes. That pic shows 31Dec status.
1Jan the excess over $66k will be transferred to OA/SA.

Why $66k? Cos $66k is the applicable 2022 MA cap.
Oh, missed the date.

risk free on the full faith and credit of the sg government that is triple A rated.

what better alternative with the same level of risk profile that doesn't make it miserable life?
Singapore Statutory board bonds.

1) not sure if i can be bought with CPF

2) someone can correct me but I believe it legally wouldn't be as safe as SGS
I don't think LTA/NEA/HDB etc will default.

Not in my lifetime at least.

Well statutory bonds are not irrevocably, unconditionally guaranteed (and payment in full) by Singapore government (there is only 1 issuer outside sgs that has such guaranteed but they don't issue sgd), so the premium above sgs is liquidity premium to me.

I wasn't really thinking about using cpf to buy statutory bonds.

Thinking of retirment package holistically.

Can't be all cpf SA/RA or all in otc bonds.

Liquidity/cashflow are important in retirement planning and cpf alone is insufficient, at least for me.

With T-bills likely to yield more than 4%, transfer of OA to SA appears not the right thing to do. Money in SA will be in deep freeze. Used to pay for mortgage depends on the interest rate. Each month hanging to OA balance is loss of hundred of dollars of interest that T-bill is yielding. Go open a CPFIS account.

Agreed but I'm using oA for mortgage payment... Since it's not much, probably last me till March only. Instead of putting into tbills n use cash for mortgage...

Thanks for the advice. Putting it into T bills seems to be the right choice, I'll do some research on this.

My CPF shares gave me more than that ;) $13,825 in dividend excluding capital gain of $2,078 . This year's dividend is expected to be least $11,600 if I don't switch about.

CPF shares means the shares you bought with CPF?

Can only wait and hope that T-bill or FDs goes to 5% and above to take advantage of your SA.
