You can calculate your max loss right?
Say you put in 1 year in advance
1 year x (4%- 1.7%)?
1.7 is the 1 year sgs.
How big can you lose unless you are shielding a huge sum in SA?

Your money u calculate, me not interested.

At that time, other people no loss but gain, u have to recover whatever is lost, no place to hide :s13:

TS talks alot of rubbish here!

Do I have to repeat this?

His article is also considered "rubbish", with a title "fullly explained" he did not address 4Wifes+Husband :s13:

He cannot even explain completely here nor in the article: Who should do the shield, Why do u want to shield, When is the best time to do, Where and How to do it best!

Lorna Tan already posted her experience in Sunday Times article yesterday, just read her article to understand! Ignore TS' blog!

Someone already corrected one part of his article.

Now Uncle Henry is questioning his understanding on CPF Life :s13:

Lorn Tan's article

Very obviously so!

Forumers had been correcting his blog articles and comments here!

The other 2 nicks were his previously banned nicknames.

I know this arrogant guy very well.

All have the same characters.

Pity this guy simply cannot escape from his own prison of negative thinking for so many years, now possibly suffering from dementia like symptoms :s13:

I guess there's a need to openly share information (without reservation) on some matters there are relevant to all Singaporeans. It's like people who share SummonAunties locations on summonauntie, or TP/roadblocks on WAZE. Are they not good for the General Public?

The issue is that the same people who condemn these Elderly who don't save up or don't know how to think for themselves are the same people who are unwilling to share. So how soon-to-be future Uncles prevent similar future occurrences?

You going around making baseless accusation again?
Can you provide evidence to support your accusation? Otherwise please stop making baseless accusation!

since any mount in SA exceeding $40k can be invested.

what abt the amount reserved in Special Account?
So amount can be invested = SA - 40k - reserved amount?

under the Retirement Sum Topping Up Scheme. This comprises the top-up amount and any interest earned, and has been reserved to be transferred to your Retirement Account when you turn 55.

You nailed it. I've observed many here who are quick to criticise at anything they see are those who would not share anything about themselves. They really need to get a life rather than hiding in their miserable dark hole and start looking around rather than only from their little miserable perspective.

What about those who give wrong or spray erroneous info and some only propagate one sided views :s13:

Variety is the spice of life :s13:

The first $40,000 in your SA is the "reserved" amount that cannot be used for investment.

Meaning, amount can be invested = SA - first 40k

There are 2 types of people who share in this forum.

1) True volunteers who help but not seeking monetary returns
2) Posters who are seeking monetary returns either through jobs or advertising on personal blogs

So please understand the nature of the share. =:p
