idling whole time? 60+max while idling seems high. i would assume idling around 40+max and gaming around 70 max with overclock..but im using aio watercool.

also bros here recommend HWiNFO64 for more accurate monitoring

I had my PC assembled at Tradepac, so I believe the thermal pasted used was from the box given inside of cryorig r1. Not sure if he tighten it properly thou but should be professional since they help to assemble so many PCs a day?

I'm not really..very worried about the temp thou, just wanted to find out if it's normal.. and since it's normal like you said then I won't spend money on aio watercooling haha.

Suspect its either thermal paste or nvr tighten properly.

gaming 78c still ok la for aircool :D:D

not sure if it help, u can go set your power plan to balance, set the minimum processor state to 5%?

78c normal?! Bruh what you smoking lol xD

@TS for context, my prime 15 LAPTOP CPU never runs hotter than 75c... you tell me if 78 sounds pretty damn hot to u LOL.

And its not even unlocked nor overclocked so 78 degs is bloody hot for a locked i7 chip.

My point being the the gaming-lvl cpu chips run just as hot and even more so in a crampwd laptop chassis that gives little to no room for proper cooling; compared to a very well-ventaliated chassis where the chip is mounted with a proper cryorig cooler - which should have lower temps? U tell me.

lol. first, yours is laptop. whats the cpu?

2nd, 78c is well within the acceptable range. it wont explode your pc or anything :s22::s22:

edit: ts u can google around and see your temperature is just normal

i think you started the thread just to see if your temp is normal. for me, yes. it is. it will not explode

now, if you want to get it cooler, then u can try to check if your thermal paste tighten properly (as suggested by bro gld998) / see case airflow -ve/+ve thing or even change the cpu cooler =)
