turn off cellular data silly....
think we all have check our Singtel data usage... i think its a bit weird, i didnt download much stuff for the past month. I clock up 600MB, im using 3G netwrk........suspecting singtel stinktel again. jus suspecting
Today starts new billing cycle for my mobile. Reset my data usage on iPhone n will closely monitor it. Singtel said they will monitor my case but couldn't quite explain what happened, just claimed that I could have apps running, HD photos on online purchase app etc etc. Just today for 12 hours out and I hardly surf, just checked emails occasionally (not on push notification), noticed 20mb used. My point to them, been doing the same since Oct last year when I got my iPhone 5 and on 4G. Yet average for past 6 mths less than 1GB. Usage pattern didn't change, but last cycle, almost 4GB used.
Now I come home, switch off 3G/LTE completely on my iPhone 5. So that it has to be on wifi and they can't say that it automatically switch to LTE sometimes.
If any of u on Singtel and noticed this happening only recently, please write or call them. So they know I am not the only one complaining.
I agreed with you totally.. same cases, low user and past 12 month have always less than 2Gb, can t remember when start to climb up to 6GB for past 3 month. Something is wrong...
Sorry, I mean they waived e excess data charge for me, shouldn't say 'they will waive...'Pls call them or write to them..
I refused to pay for excess data charge. How do I know if it was some problem at their back end? They will waive the excess data charge.

Yes, I mean I switched off cellular data completely when home, so 3G/LTE also off.your cellular data is still on.... at home already using wifi, can off cellular data.... no need to toggle 3G/LTE since once you disable cellular data, it stops using data from your mobile plan.
i also face this problem...
i suspect it is my IP camera software that streams video to my iphone...it seems that every time i use the app, it chalks up data in blocks of 50mb...
now i terminate the application each time i finish using it (instead of leaving it running in the background)
have just reset my data usage statistic to coincide with my billing cycle - will monitor it for a month and see how...
i am using the app "megabytes" to track my data usage
so far it is in sync with "cellular data" in the usage settings - as well as usage at singtel
indeed that whenever i use my ip camera app, the data transferred is a lot (~50mb per minute)
This has been the case since day 1.Go to settings -> iTunes & App stores -> disable use mobile data
