Katana is a fantastic PC surround sound soundbar

But for TV usage, like what techidiot has recommended, better to get a proper HTS. Katana can still be used on TV if the room is small. Larger rooms may not be suitable for the Katana

Room size is one thing but feature like SBX feature, Aura customization
are only available on PC.
Console/TV wise, it's disappointing such feature cannot be control.

However according to Creative, they say they are working on this.

I guess I will get a proper 7.1 or at least 5.1 soundbar to replace my old 2.1 soundbar in my room then.

Btw, my one and only Creative product now is a T40 Series 2 Gigaworks Speaker for my PC.

Sony soundbar got promo, cheapest would be the CT180 at $3XX+ only.
I got many Creative product come and go.

I am looking into the katana but have been using the soundblaster x7 + EMU XM7 combo for 2 years now (April 2015 until now)

I still don't have sufficient reasoning to justify getting the Katana...

Just came back from IT show. Saw a few bought the katana speaker. Is this really a good speaker? They played some movie trailer like fast and furious 8 but I can't feel the bass. Not so sure maybe because the surrounding is very noisy.

So now I am comparing these two models, katana and sound blaster x7 combo with E-mu XM7 which is better?

I don't play games that much, most of the the will be using it for music, you tube, movies and Bluetooth music.

The bass is missing maybe the settings is set wrongly or in night mode.
Night mode will cut the bass to prevent distributing neighbor.
Katana bass is something that it can do well despite rather compact sub.

Katana bass is adjustable.... so if u play music u can tune the Bass down to 0 if you wish... not too bad actually.
