I got my latest Dec bill and Citibank gave me the 10X points for Banana Republic and Gap USA. They didnt send me a message but the points were in. That's a relief. I suppose to be safe and less hassle, better use other CC next time when in USA.

And, I can confirm Calvin Klein Underwear (Vivocity) get 10X for Citibank Rewards.

Can use UOB PPV to topup as well, will try that soon.

Do take note any purchases/shopping/dining at Grand Front Osaka Shopping Complex in Osaka, Japan seems to be under Grand Front Osaka merchant record. So might need to use a general spending card OR maybe Citibank Rewards Card will work.

Will test out Citibank Rewards Card the next time I'm there.

Famous Amos earns 5x with Citibank Clear Platinum.

My observation is that transactions in Japan done in mixed used complexes (shopping/dinining/office) are categorized as 1 merchant record. So you'll need to use a general spending card.

That's a good question, best to check with your bank or the insurance company. My guess is on the travel period since it makes more sense.

There's an Amex, Visa, and Mastercard for the Preferred Platinum card. I'm assuming you're referring to the Visa? No input shown in the spreadsheet so no idea.

Yep I still can't find the correct formula but as long as it's more than what you calculate, it's all good.

You get 1 points per $5 spend which will appear at the end of your statement every month. The other 9x points are given base on spending in a calendar month on the 15th of the next month.

Your march statement will state the points you got for normal 1x rate from previous statement date to current statement date and also the 9x points for the calendar month of Feb. So you can have points from 2 statement period which is why so many of you find it confusing, I have no problems with mine down to exact point because I understand the way its calculated.
