Is 65" too big for a viewing distance of 2.7m (9ft)? Planning to wait till end of the year as LG would be launching entry to mid level OLEDs.

No.

I am using 75 inch led tv with the same distance u mentioned at 2.7m. Definitely I wont go lower size if i have to replace in future.

75" is a definite overkill for me.

Now that the OLED is rolling out soon, shoudl I get an entry level OLED or high level LED instead. Price wise LED is much more attractive. Not sure if I should wait for OLED to mature a bit more first.

The new 2016 OLEDs should be pretty future proof with HDR & Dolby Vision. Whether you wanna pay a premium for them is another thing. Or just go for a cheaper HDR enabled LED TV first until OLED prices tumble. Currently only LG is mass producing OLED & they can control the prices.

I dont mind getting the display sets with full warranty. Other brands will come into play such as Phillips, a brand which has been sleeping for a long time.

hi there, i am very interested in the 55eg910t model. But I am quite confused in all those technologies in the TV nowadays. I believed 4k tv can upscale lower quality source like youtube 720p to a better quality video. So does the 55eg910t model able to do some sort of upscaling function too?? Like upscaling youtube 720p to 1080p etc. (triple XD engine???)

hope some 1 can help to answer my inquiry as I am deciding wherether to buy oled or 4k TV since I will be watching mostly 720p source. Much thanks

In my case. i find upscale will not make any 720p source nicer or better. Even a 1080p is very minimal improvement.

bought 920 after visiting several outlets over last weekends..
final price: $4199
free gifts: mounting bracket & installation, upscale blu ray player, 43" HD TV, $300 mastercard

bought the LG curve sound bar as well at $599 (retail price $899) as there is a bundle promo
free gifts for the bundle: bluetooth speaker and a $250 voucher

in other words... final price for tv is $3,949
43" tv can be traded in for $450 but i did not do it.

seems like you've bought a 2014 OLED model...
(note that I have seen some stores clearing old 2014 models, e.g. Harvey Norman Westmall)

It will be a very good deal if it's the 55EG910T, 2015 model...
2015 model onwards, the blacks are the darkest and colors awesome...
