OLED FHD already not producing. By 2016, 4k price will drop and many will start to buy 4k. Actually do not need 8k.

if to choose a 4k led tv and fhd oled , I will take an oled fhd anytime. 4k oled picture quality confirm better if source is 4k, not forgetting the price is also double of fhd oled.

the black in ec930 is the same as what it is in my dark room. really impress.

A 4k bluray media is not even exist yet and our local hd contents are still in 720p/1080i. Rather than develop a 8k tv. It should reduce the price of the oled tv and made 4k media widely available thru new bluray media player and set top box.

When 8k is out, 4k price will be cheaper so become more affordable. SH & local contents is only in Full HD but do not forget that we have auto 4k resolution upscaler plus (LG Tv) that can easily push up the resolution to quite near 4k resolution. LG blu ray player BP 730 can push up to UHD so no problem.

Tbh, i find that full hd is already sufficient, 4k should be the maximum, for human eyes when viewing 4k n 8k source, i doubt there will be much difference.

I guess you are right that 4k n 8k quite difficult to tell the difference. For general use, FHD is sufficient for most people who like low cost. For some who expect more then UHD is more ideal for them. Do not think we will need 8k Tv. Of course for TV > 50" UHD is a must or else you will be able to see the pixels as it is really too big in size.

I don't think our local FTA provider from mediacorp and SH r broadcasting in FHD yet. For upscale. Only bluray 1080p playback upscale will marginally improved the video qualities but not to the extend of near 4k.

Does Toggle stream any of the channels for free, such as Channel 5 etc.? Or must we pay first for any thing? Have you guys tried any other online TV streaming apps? My TV is in the bedroom right now and I cannot connect the set-top boxes inside right now.. So basically tied to using YouTube right now..

I am watching channel 8 and 5 local production for free. For movies and premium contents then is $9.90/ mth.
