You only get $12.5 a month additional interest from them. But aren't the commission you pay like 1% of the $100 you pay a month to invest in the bonds? This is at the risk of capital losses too. What is the lowest amount you can invest a month just to get the interest?

if shares bought under my wive's name, but dividend is credit to my dbs multiplier,
does the dividend add to my cash flow?

I agree completely.

My original point was that the risk of capital loss is not worth the additional 0.3% interest for someone who has no knowledge about the capital markets, or never invested in them before. I also hedged that it was possible to withdraw one's monthly investment right after the monthly investment gets counted by DBS; it is however my view that this sort of defeats the whole purpose of investing in stocks or bonds. For anyone else, it is a no-brainer that they should sign up for a S$100 monthly investment in one of the two ETFs and get that interest bump on the savings account.

What is the lowest amount you can invest a month just to get the interest?

S$100 a month I believe.

ABF bond fund is only 0.5% commission so you spend $0.5 to get $12.5. The fund need to drop 12% for you to lose all the additional interest and that has never happened before, not even during the last financial crisis. It's a no brainer so I don't get why anybody is arguing against it.

Sounds good I'll do more research on it.

Is it done on Invest-Saver?

Can I check whether the interest is based on amount in multiplier account or total amount in all savings accounts? Reason being got a joint account with DBS as well so wondering whether it'll factor in the amount from there as well.

How will my investment in Unit Trusts be recognised?

Lump Sum Investments will be recognised once for each adhoc contribution you make to an investment fund.

Regular Savings Plans and POSB Invest Saver will be recognised for the first 12 consecutive months when you make contributions to an investment fund.
taken from the Multiplier FAQ. the second sentence says "recognised for the first 12 consecutive months". does that mean that after 12 months the Regular Savings Plans and POSB Invest Saver will not be considered for interest?

Can I terminate my existing Unit Trust Regular Savings Plan or POSB Invest-Saver and re-purchase so they will be recognised?

If an existing Unit Trust Regular Savings Plan or POSB Invest Saver is terminated and re-purchased within 6 months from the date of termination, the re-purchase will not be considered an eligible transaction.

Additionally, any re-purchase of Unit Trust Regular Savings Plan or POSB Invest-Saver which was previously terminated but not fully redeemed will also not be considered an eligible transaction.

okay just saw another question in the FAQ. confirm only will recognize for 12 months. after that can say bye bye. win already loh.

just terminate the current invest saver (eg. sti etf) and start a new one with abf after 12 months? rinse and repeat.

12 months isn't a time frame that you sit and wait around for...

Nobody ask you to sit and wait around.

It's 12 months of sti etf, follow by 12 months of abf, follow by 12 months of sti etf, follow by 12 months of abf, follow by 12 months of sti etf, follow by 12 months of abf, and so on and so forth.

there are two RSP options you can subscribe to.. nobody is telling you to sit around and do nothing for 12 months. even if so, it would only be for 6mths.. terminated RSP will be eligible to be computed for cashflow again after 6 months.

Anyone is using the "View Bank & Earn Summary" from DBS ibanking to keep track of the expenses/ interest for ur Multiplier Account?

I have used DBS Vickers Cash upfront account to buy a Sgx stock on fri, 15 Dec and only today its transferred to CDP, but the "View Bank & Earn Summary" is not reflecting this under "Investment" for Multiplier Account, anyone knows anything about this?
