good idea, is term life the cheapest under multiplier? i am currently getting 2.8% for 50k and fulfill cc and online trading category only...trying to upsize to $100k and higher interest with 3 categories.

I always assume the insurance have huge outlay, if there is a no frill option that cost $20 not bad..any name of this $20 policy and assume its for 12 mths only?

The exact product name is "ManuProtect Term Lite"... you can book an appointment online with their financial consultant and go down the branch you choose to check it out.

I did so last year, took some financial knowledge and assessment tests, decided on what I want, did all the paper work.... all settled within an hour or so.

The consultant attending to me know that I am getting the cheapest plan to bump myself up into an additional category just for the purpose of Multiplier as I stated it to her at the very start. So, I suppose this helps cut the time needed to get it done.

thx is dbs doing a partnership with manulife? and the premium is recurring for 12 months or perpetual? Just dont want to get lock in if multiplier change its terms. Similar to you i just want to get the additional category, as long as i can get the cheapest premium thats good enough.

What is covered in the financial knowledge and assessment tests ?

Do they ask about your knowledge on insurance or finance? or cover things like employment and income ?

And when must you do it ? I had a bank staff telling me I need to do this before he can give me a quote customised for me eg based on my age. So I walk off because I just want to get a gauge of roughly which is the cheapest and how much premium.

See above in bold. Very basic stuff. No big issue personally.

If you are purely getting it to bump yourself up one more category for Multiplier, just set the price you are willing to pay, then buy the plan that fit this price.

One qns here, for dbs multiplier cc spend. i read the TNC as below.
does this means that grabpay top up considered?

Eligible credit card spend consists of retail and cash advance transactions posted within the calendar month, excluding reversals/credits/refunds posted.

yeah understand no cashback at all, so it even counted for min spend for CC?
example min spend for cc is $600. short of $100 so use grabpay to top up, altho i know that $100 wont get any **, the $500 eligible spent will?

2 separate things.

One is cc perks, the other is multiplier.

Positives are green? Negatives are black?

No, not counted for minimum spend. But counted for multiplier.
