Which cheapest insurance did you guys take up ? Can just cancel anytime after right ?
I ended up choosing protect first, after discount 4 dollar plus a month. No sure when start to count as category unlock though, maybe next month.

Yes, he said sweetener for joining Treas, seemed unlikely to continue and overall rate’s will decline
So those invitation without the mentioning of $200k in multiplier account will not get this benefit (sweetener) or is applicable to all invitation that was send out in Sep ?

From the FAQ, I understand that insurance and investment will be recognized for 12 consecutive months.

I bought protect first to unlock insurance. Would that mean near the 12th month (say the 11th month since insurance recognition starts 1 month after inception), I will need to sign up for another protect first to renew another 12 consecutive months of recognition? Then since the old protect first no longer recognized, I cancel it after it has been recognized for the 12th month?

Insurance I do RSP $100/month buying MBH shares. For the same purpose, since FAQ say same fund will not be recognized (unless after 6 months following full redemption), I could RSP into another one, say ES3, for another 12 months of recognition. And of coz, cancel my earlier MBH RSP after it has been recognized for the 12th month.

Is my understanding correct?

Can’t say for insurance

but for investment, yes that’s the gist… please make sure you do full redemption…

One may ask, wouldn’t it defeat the purpose of rsp or dca concepts? Well, take the redeemed monies and buy lump sum direct, namely if you redeem ES3 from rsp, use the money buy ES3 lump sum… you pay comms (again), but that how one can stay vested yet get out to possible reset the investment basket criteria

By the way, please take note of the bonus issues…
For example ES3 is half yearly, please don’t don’t don’t redeem just before the bonus months… otherwise *puff* DBS thank you

Under RSP there are 4 funds (ABF Singapore Bond Index Fund, Nikko AM SGD Investment Grade Corporate Bond ETF, Nikko AM Singapore STI ETF or Nikko AM-StraitsTrading Asia ex Japan REIT ETF)

1st 12 mths Nikko AM Singapore STI ETF
redeem
2nd 12mth Nikko AM SGD Investment Grade Corporate Bond ETF
redeem
and repeat 1 and 2 above.

this works?
