Also no idea why some are still comparing multiplier max interest rate with the UOB one savings account, as it has no investment and insurance component to be fulfilled. These 2 are generally the ‘deal breakers’ as it’s more troublesome to set up and keep track of.

My opinion is UOB one major interest rate nerfs are to be expected as it’s far more easier to satisfy the salary and spend conditions. So there is no basis to compare with multiplier here. Of cos u may also disagree depending on your own financial situation, but most ppl will find it easier to satisfy the UOB one interest conditions.

Nobody is comparing it against the UOB One in this thread though in recent posts? No issue with sharing tips, but don't need to derail the thread, once again

Quote from the DBS multiplier website: (highlighted key words)

Salary Credit to any DBS/POSB Deposit Account
  • Credit your salary into your DBS/POSB SGD-denominated account via GIRO/FAST/PayNow with transaction code “SAL”/“PAY” or transaction description “SALARY”/“PAYROLL”/“COMMISSION”/“BONUS”
Please don't post half truth statements here to justify yourself. You ignored the last sentence.

Below is what is stated in Multiplier website (the full paragraph)

Salary Credit to any DBS/POSB Deposit Account
  • Credit your salary into your DBS/POSB SGD-denominated account via GIRO/FAST/PayNow with transaction code “SAL”/“PAY” or transaction description “SALARY”/“PAYROLL”/“COMMISSION”/“BONUS”.
Email your HR to credit your salary with DBS today.

Perhaps let me word it in another way. It is far less likely for multiplier rates to be nerfed compared to UOB even with this loophole make known as the requirements are more complex to fulfil.

Feel free to report my post if you think that these few lines of text are affecting you or your state of mind.

another lurker caught exploiting this loophole and crying foul now. More to come I guess?

Also you fail to understand the intention of my post - which is to point out the keywords for salary category to get the max interest possible. Not to distort any truth in anyway. But if you feel it affects you, u can always go through law by law and contact your HR :)

Let me do a summary to compare the "Salary Clauses" of these 4 accounts, hopefully can help MOD make a decision:
1. DBS Multiplier:
Email your HR to credit your salary with DBS today.
It is just an instruction how to switch your salary. Unlike the tnc of other banks below!

2. SCB BonuSaver tnc: Now a very hot thread with so many discussing how to hack, which method gets you the fastest BI credit, etc

What does the tnc say:

You must successfully apply for and make arrangements for the regular inward crediting of your monthly salary of no less than S$3,000 nett by your employer into the Bonus$aver account through direct payment via GIRO/ PayNow/ FAST transfers

This is more strict than DBS tnc but the bank accepts the hacks and some RMs are teaching!

3. UOB One:

To credit your salary credit to your UOB One Account, you will need to notify your HR department on your new account number. Email your HR to make the switch now!

Similar clause as DBS, people also openly discussing in the thread how to hack but the bank accepts.

4. OCBC 360: This cannot hack because OCBC actually checks! Tnc very strict with "warning"!

To set up your 360 Account as your salary crediting account, please inform your HR department of your new account number (you will only need to do it once).

We reserve the right to request for any document or information to verify that the amount credited is your salary. Salary credit in other forms will not be eligible.

Other banks - I will not discuss or this post will be ban too!

Regardless, since day 1, it works but not openly discussed. Other threads like SCB BonusSaver is worst! UOB one, whenever someone post, they will be "X"!

Bottomline, dun discuss, you delete one post, how many others can you continue to monitor and delete? Most important, it is a "hidden bank strategy"!

So remember to delete this too!

( I think there is a more serious series of discussions in the HSBC Ega thread in the past few days. Altho the hack had been nerfed, someone is teaching others how he did it by exploiting loopholes in 3 banks!)

It will eventually be nerfed just because market rates have been dropping. It being more difficult to qualify does not change the fact that there is no reason for banks to pay such a high rate.

If you feel the need to be the smartest in the room and knowing how to game everything, no one is stopping you from doing so or teaching others to do so.

But a few of the suggestions, if followed, without proper caveats, could potentially lead to negative consequence for the naive reader (e.g. implication on credit rating, risk of being caught for financial embarrassment, buying an investment or insurance despite whatever risk tolerance an individual might have).

The paynow/fast trick is nothing new, it's so widely published since UOB One became popular.

You are exaggerating the extremes!

You can always post your better suggestions to help others

The paynow/fast trick is nothing new, it's so widely published since UOB One became popular.

Someone above think otherwise!

Please advise the MMF you are recommending. Thank you

A few for consideration and not recommendation.
Amova Singapore Bond Fund
Amova Short Term Bond Fund
Fullerton SGD Income

Your suggestions will put people here who adopt it at more risk! These are not MMF!

You guys should do your own due diligence, ASK CHATGPT, are these MMFs?

Quick qns for those onboard the Treasures mulitplier bonus promo + casa, is your RM able to settle Oct casa earmarking for u or have to head down branch do manually? :s13:

in any case, my RM just updated me that:

1st 100k Multiplier 4.1% + 0.4% (Treasures bonus till 31Dec) + 1.58% Sep casa (earmarked till 5Jan2026)
2nd 100k Multiplier 4.1% + 0.4% (Treasures bonus till 31Dec) + 1.38% Oct casa (earmarked till 31Jan2026), take note this 2nd 100k shall not earn any multipler interests / bonus interests for month of Jan26 IF the total in multiplier is above 100k ;) (So can just withdraw the 1st 100k after Sep's casa ended on 5Jan)

So that means on 6 Jan 2026, even after you transfer out the 1st $100k, your 2nd (& remaining) $100k in Multiplier will only earn 0.05% p.a. instead of the usual Multiplier tiered-interest rate of up to 4.1% p.a.?
I'm just wondering is DBS/POSB going to update their interest computation formula in their systems for different groups of customers/ scenarios... for the month of Jan 2026...
The second 100k would just become the first 100k if you do manage to withdraw though?

Does this apply or they giving you a grace period?

There is a $50 monthly fees if your combined account balance(s) across all your account(s) with DBS Treasures fall below S$200,000.

Actually you could message someone (like me) for the additional referral rewards.

Hi, I am really new at this. On 30 Sep 2025, under the advice of my newly assigned RM, I joined the 4.5% DBS Treasures Multiplier account promo and brought in $150k on 1 Oct 2025. However, I wasn’t interested in the products that the RM tried to sell me today to qualify for the 4.5%. So, I’m now trying to figure how best I can manage my funds now that I have already brought in the $150k and my RM had put it under the 4 month CASA bonus interest at 1.38%.

I did try to read as much as possible but I’m still rather confused. So, I will really appreciate guidance.

Can I check how can I qualify for the 4.5% interest for Nov and Dec since I cannot meet the 3 cat for Oct?

Here is what I can achieve (sal + 1 cat):
Salary in the form of Interests from SBS and SGX bonds $2k per month
Credit card spend $800 per month

So, in order to meet the sal + 3 cat with total eligible transaction of $30k, do I now:

1. Purchase ABF Singapore Bond Index - SGD - Ydis - Cash (A35) or Amova SGD Investment Grade Corporate Bond Index ETF - SGD - Ydis – Cash via Banking > Invest > Unit Trust
Enter $100 for monthly investment amount?

2. Invest $30k Savvy Endowment for 3 years through DBS website by 20th of the Oct for qualify the insurance cat for Nov and repeat again with another $30k by 20th of Nov to qualify insurance cat for Dec:
https://www.dbs.com.sg/personal/insurance/endowment/wealth-accumulation-plans/savvyendowment?pid=sg-dbs-pweb-insure-promo-savvyendowment-txtlink-product-savvyendowment

I do realise that $60k investment is a heavy commitment. So, wondering what other options that are available? Thanks.

Don't act smart. I don't need to use FAST to create an imaginary salary. There are 2 other methods to activate Income Cat.

Your half truth post, 2 wrongs does not equal one right. If you want to cut and paste quotations from legit website, do it properly or don't do it as all. Now I have an idea of the rule breakers in town. Just spotted one. :)

they are invted to trial Treasures for 6 months with no fall below fees. The Multiplier bonus of additional 0.4% ontop for 4.1% and the cap of $200,000 (for 3 months) is a sweentener (Treasures welcome rewards??).

Thanks for the update. Your RM is more knowledgeable than mine. My RM insisted that 1 account can only have 1 CASA but the BT & HV branch folks differ. I did mine at HV today and my RM asked me to hold them accountable!! So not all RMs are the same...

I wanted short duration instrument actually.
They dont have LionGlobal short duration etf yet sianz….maybe 1yr later will be included

This one is already trading on SGX under the "SBO" stock code; you can buy it via DBS Vickers' online trading platform instead of from the Unit Trust side.
