Aiya, relationship manager is useless la. In today’s era, u can do everything with a few clicks. Why need a pretty or handsome dude to help you with your banking? Want to flirt, just go pub or ktv.

There are still some who think their $250,000 is big, and expect relationships manager to treat them like private clients or some big shot but yet don’t give them any business

No increase in fee, more of the service level of your relationship manager (if you will have any)

Thanks... won't affect me then, I never had a RM to begin with :s13:

I was just there for the 0.12% brokerage fee, but I might switch to those offering 0.08% if DBST doesn't make it more competitive.

Comparing no minimum at DBST with minimum of $2.5 at IBSG, any transaction value above $2083.3 is cheaper with IBSG. Seriously speaking, $2083 is quite easy to hit except for those illiquid counters where ppl deliberately sell 1 lot down to your bid queue lol... but not frequently too.

Because this is a forum, the more it should not be discussed

Already dropped a few hints here, will discuss about it when it is official next year, my relationship manager tell me she also not sure of the changes too

Since you said the more it should not be discussed, then you should not have even started in the first place. Isn't this fear-mongering? Hint that something bad is going to be announced, then keep people in suspense? If you are running a business and someone do this kind of fear-mongering on your product, would you like it?

it might be arguable whether poster should or should not do what poster has done, but it still doesn't change the fact that the information should still not be shared if it is not yet officially available to the "public".

Exactly. If a civil servant does that, he will not only lose his job but also be charged under the law.

Erm. Slightly different...

The person who will actually get into trouble here is the RM. not the poster.

So is about whether poster wants to throw rm under the bus

Maybe the change is not a bad thing? You may have more support from next year?

For more details, can always contact your relationship managers

I totally agree. Seriously want to say but don’t want to say. Might as well keep your mouth shut instead of keeping it leaking.

I have been contacting the RM of DBST to combine my savings account and the counters from Vickers to hit the AUM. After talking to him and a bit of research, honestly other than using iwealth as 1 platform to do your banking and investment, I don't see any benefits in it?

No special montage loans, no increase in interests rates in savings, no special rate for foreign currency conversion. Other than the lounge, basically, DBST is just a fancy name for your bank only?

Not to mention their elite black card sucks, I thought it like an upgrade of Altitude but apparently it;s not.

Example only.
Industry outlook - the traders look at that day in day out.
Unless you are in finance, ( insurance agent not counted) - their insights confirm more updated than yours.
Even if you wanna diy your trades, u also should know which sectors to avoid.
Example new energy like tsla vs shell, you may want to hear what they have to say.

AI or not, there may be products not available to retail - or sometimes they don’t bother explaining to retail clients. So if you ask, they may offer.
