In the tnc, is excludes
c. interest, finance charges, cash withdrawal, balance transfer, smart cash, AXS payments, SAM online bill payments, bill payments via internet banking and "all fees charged by DBS";

To each to its own and what's wrong with getting the card if one seeking for a card for dining and petrol spending? You are basically just listing the pros and cons according to your thoughts and scenario.

DBS vantage do have 4mpd promo for dining and petrol up to 2k per mth till 30 Dec 2022. Furthermore I do have upcoming big spending which I need to pay off and get that 1.5mpd which is >1.3mpd provided by citi prestige.

I will use 5% hsbc premier (min spend $600 max $3000) on groceries, petrol and fnb. Hsbc has additional 1% for ega regardless of whether i hit $600.

I will also continue to use vantage for general purpose.

I always envy the premier card member who can get more discount at Caltex patrol station

To be eligible, you must:

• be an HSBC Premier customer
• be at least 21 years old
• have an annual income of at least SGD30,000 if you're a Singaporean or Permanent Resident
• have an annual income of at least SGD40,000 if you're a self-employed and commission-based Singaporean or Permanent Resident
• be able to provide a fixed deposit collateral of at least SGD10,000 if you don't meet the above income requirement

2.3 DBS Vantage Cardmembers earn 5.5 DBS Points for every S$5 equivalent in foreign currency

The membership profile should also show the number of free nights.

For booking, there's a redemption checkbox when selecting the dates. Not all dates are available though especially if you're redeeming for staycation.

At launch, i distinctly remember it was 1 year expiry.
