just had a call with DBS regarding my points dispute.

found out that the cap of $2000 monthly will be used up even if your transaction is cancelled immediately, and no bonus points will be award for transactions after this cap.

Example

12 aug amazon - $500
15 aug amazon - $500
19 aug amazon - $1000
19 aug amazon - $1000 CR
20 aug amazon - $1000

there wont be any bonus points awarded for the 20 aug amazon transaction, because the $2000 cap is used up by the 19 aug amazon transaction even though it was immediately refunded/cancelled and base/bonus points clawed back

Hey,

Right now I have 1.2k spend on this card for this month.

Is it worth to charge a 1k item onto the card and go over by 200 or just let it end the month with 800 below the bonus cap?

Thanks!

Best is not spend the $1k?

There's no reward catalogue..

I'm looking to get this card, but they put in a very worrying section, that doesn't exist on any of their other cards:

"Charge a minimum of S$15,000 or S$25,000 each year to DBS Woman’s Card or DBS Woman’s World Card respectively to receive the annual fee waiver for the following year. If the minimum spend criteria is not met or if the Card is cancelled within each year of the Principal Cardmember’s Card opening date, the annual fee will be imposed."

The last sentence. If the minimum spend criteria is not met or if the Card is cancelled within each year of the Principal Cardmember’s Card opening date, the annual fee will be imposed.

If I read that right, that means if I sign up for Woman’s World Card, then fail to spend $25k in the first year or cancel it within the first year, DBS will impose the annual fee?

Yes. As usual can request fee waiver.

Does the card privileges limited to the card holder?

I am interested in the card and wonder if my gf can use those offers, as you can see I am not very enthusiastic about hair/face treatments :)

What do you mean? You can pass the card to your gf and let her swipe/paywave. :D

It's in the T&C so I was wondering...

DBS Woman's Card benefits or privileges are applicable to DBS Woman's Card and DBS Woman's World Card Cardmembers (“Cardmembers”) only unless otherwise stated.

If you intend to get the bonus points, just let your gf use your card.

4mpd on everything (mostly) online stuff...difference to the CITI rewards is that at least DBS points will pool together if your strategy is to pair with Altitude for non-online/non-specialised spending.
