Issue is not sure if this is not going to be considered online ie same case as paying starhub bills which is not considered online in Mar

? so do you mean "yes, only online retail spend will be awarded x10" or "online and as long as not in exclusion list will be awarded x10"? because both statements are contradictory.

online retail spend is only a subset of online spend. e.g. paypal payments are online, but can be non-retail. if they are now only awarding online retail spend, there will be a lot of online spend that will be excluded, in addition to what is already in the exclusion list.

grab/uber/other services can all be online spend, but are not retail. going by their "Online Retail Purchases" wording, this would mean that basically all online payment for service-oriented spend will no longer be awarded x10?

It's not a new TNC, in fact it has not changed since July last year. There has also been no change to earning criteria. Banks' definition of 'retail spend' simply means any spend that is not a bill payment, fund transfer, brokerage/securities, online gaming sites, prepaid accounts etc. They want you to make an actual purchase (be it goods or services), and not transfer money from 1 place to another.

hmm noted. i was under the impression that it read online spend previously. mustve remembered wrongly. thanks for the clarification.

I am quite noob in calculating points etc.

Is it that other than the first $2000 in online retail purchases, the "earning" for miles for the World MasterCard is not as good as DBS altitude ?

Don't really understand the 1 DBS point for $5 spend.

You spend $5 local, you get 1 point. If this $5 was online, you get another 9 points after the 16th of the following month.

You spend $5 overseas, you get 1 point. If this $5 was online, you get 3 points first, and another 7 points after the 16th of the following month.

The bonus caps at $2000 a month, so if you spend $2000 in 1 month (regardless of local or foreign), you get 4000 points in total. Anything more than $2000 gets 1 point per $5.

Altitude gets 1 point every $1.67.

After max out $2000 online spending on this card, can spend on altitude or other cards with better miles/$.

Calling CSO will mostly result in them quoting certain clause on the TNC and denying you the points. But good DP nonetheless, I guess Starhub is truly dead.
