I really do like this card and want to keep it, even though I already have the UOB Preferred Platinum Visa which is sort of similar.
Now my plan is to divert more spending to this card so I can get the annual fee waiver.
Annual fee will be automatically waived if cardmember's past 12 month spend is S$25,000 or more.
That's around $2083 a month, $83 more than the cap of $2000 for extra 9X rewards. Pretty do-able.
Anyone successfully get an annual fee waiver for this card even though you spent less than $25K a year?
Do remember that points expires 1 year from earn date, so make sure you earn enough points to redeem before expiry.
I think most likely DBS will NOT waive the fees if you don't spend $25K a year unless anyone here has any experience to the contrary?
Yup, got that in mind. Also gotta remember that you can only redeem in blocks of 5000 points (10K miles), I believe.
Don't like the short expiry date but love using this card for booking travel-related expenses online.

Well, if they don't waive, just redeem out the points from card account and then request to cancel the card. A few days later, just apply online at the DBS Internet Banking and get instant approval for the card and free for the first year again haha
Why not? DBS is one of the banks who are very willing to waive annual fees IMO.

You do not have to buy the reader. You can do a top-up online and then update the value in the card at AXS machines or OCBC ATMs.

I know its a ladies card but any men tried applying for a lady? Am thinking of getting either this card or the uob ladies card for my mum but since she's retired, may not be easy if she applies.
