in terms of efficiency i am very surprised by Maybank for this.

because i had quite bad experience with them over the counter for some other issues thus i didnt consider them initially.

Need to generate new statements. The finance charges (interest) will be taken out of the excess before they send the excess to you.

So some banks can advise the finance charge on the spot but some have to wait for the statement.

Nvm, I got the bulk of it alrdy. Nice nice one month of installment to Citi.

i was told that we need to CLOSE the account to get the excess amount if any.If the account is in Suspended mode, they will not return the Excess amount in our account.Looks like by default its suspended mode for all accounts once dcp approved.

Same here. Covered all bases I submitted to Maybank yesterday as well.

CSO KO is friendly and he submitted the application yesterday which is surprisingly fast since HSBC & CITI have requested for further RAS statements.

Good news please come!

Yes need to close account in order to get the excess back. Some bank worst, say have to wait till next statement then can refund in case of the account got other charges.

spoke with a maybank officer just now, and like the bros here have pointed out, they are really very helpful and earnest in answering my queries. the EIR on my maybank dcp form is 8.48% p.a. for 5, 6 and 7-year tenures, zero processing fee. he quoted around 3 weeks processing time max, but if things move smoothly, should be much faster than that.

only thing is, my boc is still pending, so not sure if i should wait a few more days first, or just send concurrently and see how it goes??? interest wise it's better than boc for sure :s13:

Try Citi, BOC, Maybank and UOB. In that order.

Applied hsbc dcp on 18/2, approved only on 27/3. Took more than a month for the approval. First time applied, currently under RAS. Now 1 FI easier to pay, rather than many FIs & different due dates. Havent received anything, only the sms. IBs got put up a new savings account as of today.

Rating BB. EIR around 6% when approved. Applied walk-in at Liat towers branch, he said 7%.
Loan amount + buffer 100k. Take 5 years.

Actually what's the difference between hh and hz? which is worse? i remembere there was an earlier post about someone's application being approved and his ** rating changed from hh to hz. is that right? anyone tried ocbc? how do they actually let us know the outcome of the application? i don't want to keep calling my cso to ask.
