Haha nope HSBC, dbs is my last option since the interest is the least attractive.lol

They will only suspend upon approval not while processing

Wah I see.
That time when I first applied Citibank, they suspended my credit card while processing. Give me false hope that application approved hence card cannot use. Called the hotline twice to confirm also say "approved" until the guy who handled my application tell me it is suspended while pending approval.
In the end..... rejected by Citibank.

Wah a lot of grey areas here. Your credit card is citibank? After rejection they reinstate your card?

My dbs one they already charge the early repayment fee and waived the interest on my loans already. All calculated sweet swee

ah i see, thanks.....Ye...when i apply MBB check CBS also saw HSBC check earlier but no impact.

Somehow my OCBC cc still has got outstanding not paid off but the Line of Credit settled....dann weird. For those having credit lines, need to do withdrawal to take out the access i found out..They won't reimburse to you the access unless you close off the acct. DCP only rendered it suspended..dormant...

Credit lines will show the payment first. CC about 1 day later.

Depends on bank for the refund of excess. Some are ok with sending the excess even tho suspended.

Bros,

For those who has MBB DCP approved, how do they handle access/shortfall after disbursements have been done? I heard that i need to call every bank and ask for refund of access.....subsequently pay off the shortfall accts......

Is the understanding correct?

If your statements were current, you paid off the minimum sum while waiting for approval, and didn't use the cards at all, there shouldn't be a shortfall as there is a 5% buffer.

Ocbc ibanking will show suspended ask u call their hotline. Dbs and citibank I try to use can't check ibanking transferring of funds out from credit line not available. If you have personal loans on your cc or cl dbs would have completed the calculation for the total outstanding amount.

Submitted application by hand to the bank on 18th March.

Rating : FF
Loan tenure : 6 years

Previously submitted application via email for Citibank and Maybank. Request for 5 years and got rejected even after appeal.

can appeal? How to appeal?

I got rejected from HSBC & BOC. None call to tell me and also no letter frm them to say rejected. Wonder how these FI works..

Giving myself last 2 tries, after that continue slaving to pay off my debts... sigh....:(

I don't think can appeal. It's really up to them to approve or decline without any reasons. Just move on and try another Fi. Now this dcp very competitive between a few banks so getting approval is just a matter of time unless you default on payments previously

I am running out of time. Currently I am at borderline of 12x. Once I hit the April increment cycle, I worried I will fall just below 12x. So just trying to maximize my time and chances.

looking at the situation of my case, chances look slim :(

To Twilighzone,
U mean during Citibank application, they will suspend ur acct? How you know? from IB?

I just submitted my Citibank application, so means they might suspend mine as well?

My credit card was citibank. After the application was not approved, I can use back the card.

The rest of the credit card were not affected during citibank application. Just the bank I applied from.

Don't waste time on appeal. No use. Just 1 or 2 day later, answer is still the same.

How I know my card is suspended is because I go top up petrol, want to pay and then card cannot use. Hahaha

So I have to ask and get the correct person to say my card is supended while processing the application to prevent incurring of more charges.

Same goes for Maybank. (Since I apply citibank and maybank)

Come to my 3rd tries, I completely don't use any of my card after I submitted the application.

sorry to jump in - i applied for citibank a few weeks back and none of my citi credit cards were suspended. The citi cso did tell me not to use any citi cards since it would affect the backend's processing of existing citi balances.

That's weird. Mine was suspended.
2 calls to their call centre claimed was "approved" hence my card cannot use and wait for further instruction.
3rd call by the officer who took care of my DCP application confirmed it will be suspended while still in the process of approving.
