Quite sobering to enter the room where the talk was held just now to see that it was packed. Room was full. A lot of people in debt.

When you hear about the worst case scenario, the explanation of what happens if you're declared bankrupt, your balls shrink.

u can see people from all walks of life, all in debts. from young to old, man and woman.

anyway yes, im the guy that's currently in a dmp plan, started in 2013.

anyway just to share again, in dmp as we still pay to individual bank, so the last payment month to different banks may differ.

like for me some bank last payment is may, july, sep,nov etc.. but everything will end this yr.

I'm trying to see if i can clear off everything in july.. if not then just let it continue till my last payment i think its in november.

cos some end early then i just use the amount to pay other banks.

go for ccs only if u really consider getting out of this shiat hole, or like banks started chasing you and u're running out of time.

i approached them when i encounter difficulty in paying just min sum and banks started calling me and chasing etc.

thats when i knw i needed help.

during your period with DMP, did u ever applied for any Housing loan or car loan etc. with a Bank ? if so,Whats the outcome?

im just trying to understand, after taking DCP , will it impact any secured loans like fresh Housing loan etc. ?

no, dont think with dmp they even will loan u.

but i had no problem with hdb loan though. car loan can go through wife lah if u still wanna drive.

but then got to cock and bull story alot to try not to let the wife knw that im in shiat hole debt.

i really advise those who are at the stage of banks started calling and calling and chase for debts one...

to really seek help, put down the pride, approach ccs, at least u have a channel to approach.

once your dmp is approved, your life will be back to normal. just tahan through the dmp plan.. time flies v fast.

u still can travel, even u get aws u still get to keep it.

u will live a normal life, without credit cards.

actually to be honest, i dont even knw my credit ratings when i approach them, and i dont even know after they approved my plan..

and i dont even know my credit ratings even till now.. is the ratings important?

luckily for me is the monthly repayment i still can afford but on some months can be quite struggling so i decided not to tell her.

so at some point of time my wife will always ask me like where do my money go? how come i like so tight like that.

i only managed to tell her recently that i was in fact in credit card debts for a long period of time.. but will be finishing paying off the loan soon.. so managed to keep her machine gun bullets soft abit.

if your partner is understanding, show her your commitment in paying off monthly.. if she care for u.. she will understand.

For me, I've recently started a new relationship and I felt that I should be responsible for my own actions. Though I can afford the monthly minimum decently, but I feel this is not a solution in the long term. The moment I'm out of job, that's the end of myself. Sigh.

continue this way and stop using the cc liao. or else approach relevant avenues to seek help.

once either dcp or dmp approved, either u choose to be honest with your gf.. or try to siam all the way but u have to try to avoid bank loan.

I didn't rly use to think about all this. Monthly just pay. Esp since my previous job was a hell hole. No energy to think also. According to my friends I was damn depressed. Well that was 2016 la.

This year a bit better. Started to think about clearing the mountain. In Jan, saw the article about DCP. Actually first round not approved also blessing in disguise. Managed to realize the **** hole I dug for myself. So now actively seeking options...
