anyway just a gentle reminder to those who have their DCP approved recently. please do your due dilligence to check your previous credit card statements even after the credit balance is refunded.

for my side, citibank and OCBC continued to charge me outstanding interest and also late payment fee as i ASSUMED that there will be no charges after DCP payment to the credit card banks.....

in the end citibank just waived off the charges but OCBC gave me a hard time, still have to settle half of the interest occured.... bang table also no use....

Can explain why the banks still charge you outstanding interest and late payment fee even after DCP has made payment of your outstanding balances ?

Oh, actually if you haven’t suspend the card yet, and there is still interest incurred from your last statement date, until the day you settled in full, then there will still be some outstanding interest there.

Example, if your credit card statement due is 15th every month, and your credit card got paid in full on the 30th, that means there was still 15 days between these 2 dates where interest was still charged on your credit card account.

On your next statement due date on 15th the next month, you’d still need to pay the interest incurred for the previous 15 days worth of interest.

Somehow, I managed to get all these waived for all my credit cards tho. I only couldn’t get waivers for my cashlines.

Hi guys, here's my contribution, hope to brighten your day.

O/S: 51k
Monthly salary: 4.3k
Grade: HH
Score: 1715
I never submit NOA

My approval bank is UOB
05/01/18 CSO called me if I am interest in DCP plan, i guess they are doing marketing now, so I take up the application & submit all documents within the day.

06/01/18 Was informed by the CSO that I have missing documents, so I immediate email him the necessary. Plus he filled up application for me, what I need to do is just read & sign on it.

08/01/18 CSO called to confirm the application and reading the T&C like others do, told me will be informed the outcome in 3 to 5 working day.

23/01/18 It was quite a long wait tho, finally he called me to inform my application was approve.

**During the waiting period, he did keep me update that the application still pending due to their system down using his personal hp.

Specifically thanks to Jojo as his info very helpful.

Whoah congrats bro!!!

Happy that you’ve managed to get your DCP approved!

Next steps now is to watch your bank accounts / credit card accounts / loan accounts for the disbursement’s, then immediately call up to say you settled in full and request for interest waivers for the last few months. Speak to them really nicely and they’ll be more willing to assist you, even if it means putting up requests to their management :)

I’m still waiting for my first statement to find out how much I need to pay next month. Haha

Thanks Jojo,

Yaya, I am so excited to see my outstanding become one account.

Will do the necessary waiver request once I see the full settlement done. :)
