Also, got a free Targus trademark backpack & Premium mouse throw in ... :)

Better extend warranty, i think safer. Maybe call them see if can extend later? ie before your warranty expires.

It's for Mobile Broadband or Wireless Wide Area Network (WWAN). I'm not sure if it's activated. Maybe those with the M1 Broadband SIM card can try it.

anyone has problem with sleep mode with dell laptop 1420?

i.e. after the laptop wakes up from sleep mode, the screen resolution auto-change to a lower one... then have to manually change it back to 1280x800

i had this problem too...

one more reason not to use vista ;)

just got my red 1420 yesterday. it took me 1week before it was delivered but my order suppose to be 4-5weeks so kudos to dell!

good for you :)

i wanted to get the ruby red model as well, but changed my mind when i heard the 4-5 weeks delivery. opted for the white version instead. still good, but if i had known they'd deliver this soon, then i would have stuck with the red

like to ask those who own Dell 1330 or have knowledge of this model some question:

Dell XPS M1330

From original setup of
- Tuxedo Black LCD Display with integrated 2.0 megapixel web cam
(13.3" UltraSharp Widescreen WXGA (1280x800) Display with TrueLife(2.0MP webcam))

if i do not upgrade to:

- Tuxedo Black Slim and Light WLED display with VGA webcam
(13.3" UltraSharp Widescreen WXGA (1280x800) Display with TrueLife(0.3MP webcam))

will it mean it is bulkier in thickness? what's the difference in size?

If change to the original 6-cell batt to 9-cell, will it increase the thickness?

Because i am looking for a slim portable notebook thus the thickness is my 1st priority.

thanks
