Yup correct. There are a lot of different extended warranty options.

Lxd4rk: I'll help you ask. Look for me at the show. I'm getting the red xps m1330 also.

I don't think there will be an option for a better graphics card. I don't think any vendor will accept cheque. Why not cash it in and pay by cash? Just look for me at the courts booth for Dell. I'll lead you to your BTO purchase.

I would luv to pay by cash, unfortunately, I have a govt grant for my biz, so any biz purchase must be paid by cheque and shown to govt.

XPS is for gamers aka "Xtreme Performance Systems" Vostros and Inspirons are aimed for Home and Office/work use.
Anyway, the Vostro 1510? That's good enough. These programs are actually CPU intensive. I do that on my machine practically everyday, so no worries. Just at least arm yourself with the T9300 processor for optimized performance if you can.

There's a word called "Overkill", which means too much on something that you don't really need. XPS is primarily aimed for real GPU intensive gaming like Half Life 2, Crysis and stuff like that... I remembered the games you described playing on another thread, they're not very GPU intensive at all. Even an integrated GMA Intel graphics can play or if you've got money to burn, the Nvidia 8400M GS Graphics card is more than enough to play it. :)

now AMD come out with external graphic card. so even Dell Latitude D430 also can play gpu intensive games smoothly.
