There are many 3rd party options for sleevespcie2005 said:yes i agree with windchijmes, they should have sctrach resistance skin for WHOLE cover
since all DELL laptops are customisable, they can make it an option in the website when u purchase, my 9300 is very vulnerable to scratches... as all DELL i guess.
oh ya... maybe dell can make sleeves also =) not every one want to carry heavy bag.![]()

Battery life should be about the same if you upgrade the 700m to a 9 cell battery.Saybia said:I would like to purchase a replacement notebook and wonder which of the 2 has better battery life. Also anyone has any major hiccup with the Dell 700m?

Considering the 630m can't be configured with a dedicated graphics card and its heavier weight (even with the 8-cell battery of the 700m, it weights only 1.9kg), I'd take the 700m anyday. But if a bigger screen is important, then go for the 630m by all means.Saybia said:I would like to purchase a replacement notebook and wonder which of the 2 has better battery life. nope. ur card has problem.SGJoe86 said:hi ppl, been using Inspiron 5100 for a couple of yrs liao, juz face a problem today...
my USB mouse is connected to my laptop via a PCMCIA 2 USB ports card as my 2 onboard USB ports are occupied by ext. drives. the thing is that the card produce a high pitch sound when my mouse is connected to it, but when i connect my ext. drives to it instead, there is no such sound.
yes, i could have connected my ext. drives to the card and solve the problem, but that would make data transfer unstable and cause my drives to hang often.
any1 encounter such things b4?
