any ans to the recovery disc? quite important to me

I have the 6400. It comes with the OEM Windows Installation CD. I suppose you can call this the Recovery CD.

oh tt recovery problem i solve oready... i look through the menu.. actually the recovery menu is already installed in ur system.. so u cannot do a total reformat of ur harddisk. if u do tt, the program will also be gone..

when wan to reformat.. i remember is during the boot up screen press crtl F3 or somthing one.. the exact step is in ur manual under symantec dell restore

Good to hear that. I also must check my system. I recovered by booting to the recovery console and did a chkdsk

i went to dell kiosk to see the 6400 and 9400, quite ok built quality... dunno in the long run though

yes the built is ok but then the individual parts seem to hv some problems frequently

eh, like what problems? my fren's dell running for 1 year already, no problems..

but to be safe, do get the completecover package for 3 years. Gives u peace of mind

like u see the fellow forumer trades his 3 dead pixel screen for a 1 dead pixel and my keyboard replacement part also not veri gd lor

i have 4 dell products at home so far, no single problem.

prolly all are user-fault~ none are manufacturing probs leh~

Just received my Dell 640M. My god looks very plastic. Like a toy man... Workmanship also very poor leh. Dunno can last or not. Hmmmmmmmmmm.
