Hi guys. Which kind of ram should i get for dell inspiron 700M? and any particular recommended brand to buy?

This issue suddenly comes to my mind, by disabling the SpeedStep your battery power will be consumed faster.

Yup! in theory my batt drain faster, but i almost plug to AC all the times at home. now load alot faster than my good old HP lappy.

Planning to reformat soon, too much bloatware to load when start-up...

If i want to add another 512mb RAM for Inspiron 6400 on top of the 512mb i already have, is there an additional slot for the extra one or i need to replace the 512mb entirely with a 1gb ram???? Please advice

And can i replace it myself? Will it void the warranty??

Got it from Memory World.

It should not void the warranty. You can easily remove it.

Hi i'm thinking of getting the Inspirion 6400m but unsure whether the motherboard ram can support a max of 2gb(advertised) or 4gb as mentioned someone earlier in this thread?
