DELL 640M 512MB + 1GB RAM?

I just got the notebook 640M with 512MB running Vista, damn slow man.

Can i assume adding in a stick of 1GB to total 1.5GB ram would
improve performance?

Or should i just replace the 512MB ram with a 1GB ram instead?

Hi everyone, I just got my Notebook with Windows Vista Business version.

Would like to know how to back up the in a CD/DVD so in future can restore from this CD/DVD again if anything goes wrong.

Previously own a acer notebook. There is a E-recovery button where I can restore the systems setting from CD/DVD which I back up previously.

Suggest you backup the complete drive to an external hard disk using Acronis 10.

It's an excellent replacement for a desktop.

Great for watching movies and playing games.

I'm sure you'll enjoy it as long as you don't have to carry it around.

doubt I will carry it about unless it is during weekends. :p Actually I find it at least lighter than the actual one I had actually really really wanted to buy. :p XPS m2010. I went to the show room to look at it and try to see if it is portable, but sad to say, it is not really that portable. :(

Just Bought an Inspiron 6400 at the Fair. Received email saying expected delivery on 15 Mar. Wow that is fast considering it is after the IT show where orders must be overwhelming.

Anyone interested in a brand new original Dell battery Type U4873?
It is 9 cell high capacity battery for models 6000, 9300 & 9400.

Manufacturing date is Feb 2007, Made in Japan, and is packed in Dell box shipped directly from Dell to me. Not suitable for my Dell 640M, thus selling it.

Pls PM me if interested.

Enjoy your Dell laptop!

I did buy a M1210 Dell during the IT Show. Did feel very happy as it call me up and comfirm my order will sent tomorrow. Within 4day, they can sent my order to me, i rather impress with that. Cos with the huge amount of order in that show, their processing is rather good. I feel the weight for this set is rather ok, what impt to me is the preforment.
Anyone have any comment abt this set?
