question to ask;
i reinstall my 1210 from vista to windows xp. reinstalling also the mediadirect3. but now the mediadirect3 button not working in my windows. only when the laptop off, then press the button, will load mediadirect. is it normal media direct button not working in windows? now the only way open the application is by start menu.

Try the mediadirect fix

i tried already. still 2 hrs plus a bit only i tot intel core 2 is more for mobile saving on laptop? Initially when it is 100 percent charge, win vista will tell me i have estimate 3 hrs remaining but the actual fact only lasts 2 hrs only

How come u repeat the same line again?

Tell us what u did on that laptop in that 2hrs and others with the same model please give your feedback.

Did you test with this setting:

just tried this setting this morning from "dell recommended" setting, it lasts me only for 2 hrs and 30 mins with normal surfing, chatting in msn and occasionally listening to mp3 songs.

Give the battery time to condition itself; discharge and charge it for about 10 times and it'll improve.

Wah that's very short! I'm using Latitude D420 with 9-cell battery. After 4hours of surfing on wireless@sg wifi, battery left 60++%.

How long was your first charge??

superdeck, i am so envious of your lappy... at most last 2 hrs 3 mins only at power saver setting doing surfing and msn-ing...

using a 6 cell battery browse on wireless@sg, can last 3hrs++ with 40% left..... of course using a maximum battery setting as i'm on mobile

yes install media direct first before the xp. now running ok. i think because i havent install dell quick set or the the dell support software... now running ok. when press media direct button in windows xp, the media direct program will load already. anyway, thanks for the help.

anyway, just to share my experience using this laptop for 2 weeks. imo, the build quality is not as good as other brand like sony, fujitsu, or IBM. of course the price/performance value wins how bout other model? mine like the lcd plastic is like cheap plastic that can squeak if you press it..... overall is ok only.

icic... mine is a 6400... 6 cells battery performance on a intel core 2 laptop is below satisfactory

hope can slove yr problem,,,,i also call up dell cos i ca't stand every little noise that came out of the laptop. especially when i work at night most of the time. tomorrow, they will be changing a new harddisk for me,,,will lost my factory restore function. I am thinking using acronis to clone it over the new hard disk,,hope it will work so i can still keep the restore function.

Anyone try before with acronis?

Are you using Window XP or Vista?
Is C&C 3 very laggy?
