do u experience serious lag when typing email in Outlook 2007? i experiencing this issue on my 640m... am thinking to call and complain... cos i was using a T2300 1.73 with XP Home and no issues....

Hi, can some of the 640m user share with us how much you spent on ya lappie's configuration?

I will be buying this model, but not too sure whether to get 1 GB or 2 GB ram so forth and so on.

Thought of looking at how you guys feel.

I got mine at S$1199 last month April w/ free delivery and upgrade to 1gb (2x512) ram.

Vista Home Basic
GMA 950
60GB
8x DVD-RW
14.1 WXGA TFT
1yr warranty only

I bought it for home use; internet, chatting, downloading, playing mp3s,watching vids, games(dota,CS), excel/word processing. Everything suits my need with no regrets on my purpose.

If you want 2gb, I think it's cheaper to buy at SLS for kingston brand. Unless you get a good deal at Dell for 2gb promotion especially this coming PC Show.

Question of thought.

Would a C2D T2350/T5600 makes a big difference in terms of speed? Price-wise, its about $200 diff. If you were to choose, which processor would you eventually pick?

The computer has two memory module connectors labeled "DIMM A" and "DIMM B." Connector
DIMM A (located under the keyboard) holds the basic memory module as configured from the factory.

If you did not order additional memory, connector DIMM B (located on the bottom of the computer under the memory module cover) will be empty.

Generally, if you are adding memory, you will install a memory module in connector DIMM B. If you are upgrading memory, you may need to install memory in both the DIMM A and B connectors, depending on the extent of the upgrade.

Go for 1X1024MB and add the other 1X1024MB yourself.
