Yes, i ordered my red 1420 on 2 Aug, just got informed that EDD will be delayed till last week of August. In order to soothe this irritated customer, they sent me a 2GB thumbdrive 3 days after speaking to me. By DHL.

If only what I had recieved is my red lap instead...

For the wi-fi problem, tat time called dell, they connect to my lappie and download the driver. Aft tat no more hippup.

The dell tech can remotely control our lappies by 'dell connect' aft i gave the authorisation for him to do so. During wireless down, I used the LAN for the above to connect online..

What is happening to Dell's production planning and control?

The delay delivery is going to damage their good track record.

yah man... their suppliers can't keep up with the production of parts already... maybe Dell should just KIV their marketing campaign for a short while so that the backorder can clear...

I think its because the M1330's 13 inch LCD is a first for Dell's new series.
Lesser models in the market using this panel, thus the shortage when their new production run starts.

Kingston Value Ram on Dell Inspiron 6400

Hi,

I have been using 2X Kingston Value Ram DDR2 1GB 667MHz(KVR667D2S5) for months and it has been causing my system to freeze regularly. When I installed back the original RAM, everything worked fine again.

What I want to know is that are there any Dell Inspiron 6400 users that have any problems with the Kingston RAM? I have ran Memtest86 and Windows Memory Diagnostic and no problems were found with it. So is it just an incompatibility problem? :s11:

Thanks...

Boot up your Dell Diagnostic CD and test CPU, motherboard and RAM.

I have used that too...In fact I have tried almost every diagnostic tool available and there are no problems with the Kingston RAM. To make things worse, I can't do a 1-1 exchange if they can't find any problems with the RAM and it doesn't have a convergent sticker too.

Anyway, thanks for your replies
