Hmm i currently using 1420 as just brought it recently. It is quite light and easy to carry around if u plannin to bring it outside. As for the buttons for the multi media, i seldom use it but the quality seem to be quite gd.TrueB1ue said:is the 1420 gd? since it got deciated GE force graphics card 128MB?

I kinda quite regretted buyin my dell 1420 so fast as i brought recently after i read above courts offer in digital life. As i brought my 1420 with T7250, 2gb ram, 9 cell battery, Home vista, 14.1 ultrasharp widesreen WXGA+, midnite blue, wireless n card and 3yrs completecover warranty at $2030+.stanoink said:Hi All,
I saw the 1420 at courts today, and they selling for 2099 with the following specs:
T7500 CPU, Vista Home Premium, 2GB RAM, 160GB HD, Truelife display, GeForce 8400M GS, 6 cell battery, I yr limited warranty. Also free MS Office OEM, Digota Bag and something else which I forgot.
Then I tried configuration online and get 2448 with the ONLY following difference from above:
CPU 7300 (cannot find 7500), 3GB RAM.
I also saw the X1330 selling at 2399 (but cannot remember specs) and is only available in black.
Courts told me that it is pay money and carry from their store....so is it really better to buy from courts then? Or is there something I did not ask?
tats wat im planning to do.... n play play with linux also. i wish to upgrade but 180 for 1gb ram is.... insane to me...SecretZone said:if u are sticking to Vista, then upgrade ram, 2gb is... slow

Hopefully, my lappy wont encounter any problems within this few years.gundamz said:wait until your laptop give problem. Then you realise the importance of this 3 yr complete cover priviledge..![]()
I find the screen the same, maybe i not that fussyslack said:question for 1520/1420/1400/1500 laptops owners. What is the weight of ur laptops? i'm thinking of the 1520 with 8600m GT, but it seems very heavy at 3kg! I also went to courts to test the weight of the 1520 and sure its heavy compared to the 1420. So i'm not sure if its worth paying more for the better gfx card. 1420/1400 can't be configured with the 8600GT.
And another question, how do your find the LCD screen? i read some reviews at notebookreview.com and comments are that the screen is not as good as the other brands like HP. So i guess its cheaper because of lower quality LCD screens?
Hmm me just brought 1420 n happily using it. To me, it is quite light compared to 1520 and screenwise nt much different for me.slack said:question for 1520/1420/1400/1500 laptops owners. Btw it depend on whether do u intend to bring ur lappy out often, if u are den mayb u can get 1420 but if nt, den mayb u can choose 1520.
As for graphic card wise, hmm do u play high end games like those latest pc games which if u are den u can choose 8600.
