hi all, just bought vostro 1400. 1 problem i face....tried copied a dvd movie into a softcopy. but i cant play the movie. i also tried opening it with WMP but was re-directed to dell media direct. it prompted....unable to detect a dvd or dvd device on your computer. the same files are able to be played on my normal destop though. anyone faced this before? thanks
ps reason 1 burnt the dvds into softcopies is cos i will away for a couple of months in some ulu cities OJTing.

1. Most DVD have copy protection; you can't just copy them for playback.

2. MediaDirect should be able to play DVD if you have the right codec or installed PowerDVD.

2. when i opened the file, even with wmp, i was directed to mediadirect, but couldnt play. any idea?

Hi pple,
Anyone bought 1330 from the last computer show in SG?
Can share your configuration + price + any free items?

Thinking of getting a 1330 from the next show.
How is your user experience like?

Thanks.

There is a new series called the E-series coming out. She is rumored to replaced the current Latitude series. And Yes, she look very sexy....

Dell Singapore is quite pathetic with the specifications, I was looking at the M1330 but the specs online was terrible compared to Courts even.

However my rant is that Dell Singapore compared with Dell Australia the XPS M1330 set up is many times better and chearper than what Singapore Dell offers.

Australia site, offered free upgrade to Core 2 Dual, T9300 processor, 4 GB Memory, 320 GB HDD, Standard LED screen, the rest are normal - this set you back for AUST$2200.00 which is very economcal.

It's not too nice of me to post that example; I decided to remove it.

I like your way of do things.

oh... i see. anyway, i cant figure out the 981 Mhz part, is it the clocking down of processor to save battery life? aka speed step? the 1.66ghz i guess is t2300 processor, 1gb ram should be ddr2 right?

all this specs seems quite ok to me, maybe a 400 to 600 would be good enough
Remember, they will also have to check ur casing for dents scratches cracks etc.
