quite high, ur temp. still under warranty? ask dell send someone down to check for you. hopefully they give you a change on the gpu.Hi pple,
My GeForce 8400M GS clocks about 70 to 72 degree C, running from morning till now.
Normal?
Motherboard: 50 C
Core 2: 43 C, 44 C
HDD: 38 C
Anyone else with their settings?
Thanks.
most likely is because of dust collected at the fan...zzz i also changed it to xp recently, having some game lagging and hanging issues. can tell me more about the nvidia gpu defect? cause im having some heating issues also with 630 now, not sure if its overheating or normal, i forgot to check in vista.

just to add, my gpu is idling at 40. so you might want to call dell and tell them about overheating issue.most likely is because of dust collected at the fan...
the last time the technician came to pry open my laptop he found something astonishing... my fan clogged up with dust. after he cleared the dust it was running 8degrees cooler... from 50 on idle down to 38-43 on idle.
