i feel that streak is on a high price. for that type of price, in general, most would probably opt for iphone already.

for me, i would hoot a froyo phone ($600~$700) plus ipad ($728). works out about the same.

Oh no not the iphone talk again. I for one would not opt for iphone. I know and i agree its a gd phone and smooth interface. But this thing, there are just so many i mean so many people carry it. I am kinda sick of seeing it now.lol If you want get a phone and a ipad you might as well get a samsung galaxy tab

I copy it from MoDaCa Forum

i few people get struck qualccom part. There's is a new and easy method all you just need to do is boot into clockworkmod recocery

this one doesnt involve flashing baseband but will break gps and camera for now - being worked on

Requirements:
YOU MUST BE ON A 2.1 Build

1. download the new update zip:
http://downloads.streakdroid.com/djsteve/b.../update-new.zip
mirrors: http://build.streakdroid.com/update-new.zip

2. install clockworkMod recovery : linked here

3. place the update-new.zip onto your sd card
4. boot streak into recovery by shutting down and holding vol up and down as you press power
5. select update from .pkg option and wait for Clockwork to load.
6. select flash zip from sd
7. choose select zip from sd and find the update-new.zip and flash it
8. reboot and wait a while

this can be rooted using universal androot but could take 2 attempted

fix the package checker error by removing the apk from /system/app using root explorer or similar

where to find the clockworkmod recovery? the linked here cant click anything leh.

I think the reason there are so few users here is more due to the inconvenience. Having to source your own phone and shipping it here on your own isn't something the ordinary phone user will do. Once its official in Singapore there should be more around. :)

You are most welcome, just wait till steve port it over to cm6, this is going to be awesome. I think by the time dell release 2.2 we might have froyo cm6 running already.

By the way this froyo build is so much faster and with the 30fps limited unlock games run so much smoother.

i'm no iphone fan, still supporting nexus one.

given the popularity and price of iphone, it would make people reconsider why would they wanna get a dell streak. price point, it's v much more ex, almost double.

but like i said, a froyo phone (eg nexus one, desire, SGS) with an ipad is also a very viable option. and it might even be cheaper.

yea, that is really 1 disadvantage. even for a phone like nexus one. people don't know because the telcos don't sell them and there's no advertisement or anything to reach to the masses.

i really hate it when i take out my phone and the first comment i hear is 'oh! which iphone are you using?' whenever i hear this comment, i really feel like punching the bugger in the face. hahaha....:s13::s13::s13:

Can visit the website for photos.
The lowyat forum has a thread on this.
Had played with it yesterday and was surprised that it runs smoothly despite running on 600mHz.

It is running on Android 2.2.

Imho isn't 7inch way too big for a phone? I'm already finding the 5inch a lil too big.

It was advertise as a tablet with phone function. Not a phone. But to me 5inch is the max i go if i am going to buy and use it as a phone.Streak is more like phone with tablet function. That's why streak suits me best, big enough for web browsing and gaming yet surprising slim enough for jean and pant(not skinny jean)lol
