Seems something is corrupted. Try deleting SS1.2 and redownload or recopy to the SD Card again.

Or if you have StreakMod Recovery in your dell, you can try downloading a nanodroid fresh install of SS1.2 i uploaded in the link below:

Manage to get the file running now, installing. Selected the wrong option in SteakMod. Lousy me. Hopefully it works now! *cross my fingers*

Dell streak charging port

just got back my port failure dell sterak, d shop listed below and mobilescape said must wait not sure how long to order the port. i didn't have to pay but now i have to resort to a few batteries and external charger.

dell streak was discontinued in US yesterday, so if wanna fix i guess have to go to funan service centre.

fixing mine now. $70-80 (sth about first or second batch of port). chekec ebay, from HK cost $50 plus the port itself.

mine: turned out one of the pin is bent inside the port, perhaps can use long needle to straigthen it before going to shop. can't remember shop name.

haha Thanks! I manage to get SS1.2 & StreakDroid 1.9 working and both response are so much faster! But after trying StreakDroid i prefer SimpleSteak and wanna flash back but was stuck with a black log screen and unable to slide and unlock the phone? Any ideas from the pros here?

I'm able to flash with update.zip to the original 2.2 firmware, but just unable to flash either of the custom firmware anymore! =(

You can try to reflash SS1.2 but immediately after it reboots, go into recovery and do a factory reset. See if it fixes the stuck part.

Else best to use MultiRecoveryFlasher from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=12231991&postcount=1 to flash the stock recovery then use the stock recovery to flash the stock rom (update.pkg) on your sdcard.

After the stock rom flashed and it reboots, immediately hold both the vol buttons to go into recovery and choose the first options to factory reset.

After factory reset is done, you can then proceed to use MultiRecoveryFlasher to flash the streakmod recovery (SMR) and use SMR to flash SS1.2 zip file you place on your sdcard.

Always do a factory reset after the custom rom is flashed as this will reduce the change the phone giving issues.

Glad that works!

Just remember to do a factory reset after the rom flash.

And backup your friend's phone before flashing for him else he might lose his GF photo and get scolded

Same here I juz replaced mine.
Those who are facing the problem of unlocking phone.. Careful might be the begining of the touch screen problem.

Mine it grew frm the unlock thing to. Touch top coner become bottom. Etc etc.. Nt due to.calibration did it also no us problem presist.

Btw is the celine girl the fat one? Wonder hw she survive so long haha!
i brought mine for exchange told her the touch screen problem.. She okay agree to change.. Took out new one, finishing up the paper work wanna sign liao.. I ask her charger nt working warrenty gt cover anot, she imm. Look at my port and tada! THE LEGENDARY "OH UR PORT DAMAGE, the black piece by the port.missing..CANNOT EXCHANGE" I went like wtf hw I knw my port spoil.. Lucky the other fella willing to let go..

I've read from some tech news that Dell had stop producing Dell Streak 5 and focusing now on bigger LCD or tablet. This mean Dell Streak 5 will really become Exotic now and would become rare =)

I always wanted to get Dell Streak but always end up getting different phone argh...
