i don't do design work nor anything related to accurate color reproduction, I'm merely an enthusiast therefore i can't comment about the 2413 lol

i was tempted to get a 27" as well, but due to space constraints, I'm gna run a s2340l horizontally with either a vertical 2312 or 2412

is the 2413 much better?

I have U2413 and U2412M side by side, the color on U2413 is more lovely, which is obvious because U2413 is an 8-bit S-IPS monitor, while U2412M is a 6-bit E-IPS monitor.

Having said that, the price of U2413 is almost double than U2412M's. Unless you are doing image processing, it is not cost effective. If you are still willing to spend the money, you may want to wait for the sales.

Futhermore if you want it because it looks like the best monitor for 24", it is not, it also has have a weakness like uniformity, you should check the reviews on internet, they are telling the same story.

The U2412M is one of best deal in this size. I always want it and wait for the px drop. Current px is very good for 5yrs one to one exchg. Too bad I saw the 2413 and 2713 which displayed much vibrant and sharper text/images with clearer matt coating. I see and use two U2412Ms almost everday due to work. So I know the diff and more I use more it become obvious.

Anyone can share their settings for standard and game? I am facing brightness issues using my monitor. Its hurting my eyes very badly and i had been changing the brightness/contrast settings continously for different games. This is REALLY bad. I dont used to have this issue in the past. In the past, i was using Philip 19 inch monitor, didnt have to worry about adjusting the settings. Probably just the brightness only

- How to calibrate? Just bought it a few days ago

Running in Win8.1 using MSI R9 280x

Games i played: LoL, BF4

my s2340l had this issue as well, where the monitor will adjust the lightnings according to the type of programs your PC is running, you can try and switch it to manual using the firmware/on the monitor itself

It may not work as it needs to be active.. try using a hdmi to dvi cable instead.

I install to use the default icc that comes with the monitor otherwise will only be recognized as generic PnP monitor
