hello,

never been to any dentist after primary school. finally got the courage to visit one. seriously afraid to visit dentist as i have had bad experience during the schooling days. i believe i should have gum issues as i have the symptoms when i googled.

i actually looking at private dentist. did a read up on some "high class", like those at novena specialist centre. seems like they are able to provide a bit more assurance and comfort. the price is also a killer so i decided to google more.

came across this parkway dental, $190 package with unlimited consultation, x-ray and 2x scaling and polishing. seems decent but i am not sure if gum treatment will be expensive.

i am also looking at unity denticare, price seems more affordable.

anybody here got any other dental clinics to recommend? thank you very much :D

Understand how you feel, I was once terrified of the word 'dentist' during my schooling days lol. But its true, premium dentists treat you like a king (before/during/after), with better communication and assurances but have to pay a lil bit more liao. You can try Dr Christina Liew @ Smilefocus.com.sg

Don't go NDC. They will make you fear dentist even more with their long wait and having to go back few times over and again to solve problems.

I would highly recommend T32 at Camden. May sound like atas location but the prices they charged me for wisdom tooth removal, teeth cleaning, were very reasonable. Wisdom tooth removal was about same as Q&M, and without all the extra charges that Q&M charged me eg "admin fee" for using Medisave. Teeth cleaning same price as Unity, and done by my dental surgeon, Dr Ang. Dr Ang also charged me nothing for consultation when I went to get an urgent x-ray.

Affordable and Comprehensive Dental treatment for public

As Year 3/4 students, we are opening our services to the public to provide comprehensive dental treatment suited for their dental conditions. We are open to everyone, as long as they are suitable and willing to commit to treatment.

Our treatment costs are significantly lower than that of private dental clinics
For instance:
- Fillings (Private clinics charge $40-80/tooth) (NUS undergraduates would charge $5-8/tooth)
- Porcelain Dental crowns (Private clinics charge $1,000-1,500/crown) (NUS Undergraduate would charge $150-200/crown)
-Cleaning of teeth ($10)
- Dentures
- Root Canal Treatment( eg if your previous dentist told you that you need root canal treatment. or if you notice your tooth is discoloured/greyish, it might be dead and needs root canal treatment)
- Extractions (eg. wisdom teeth)

other chargeable fees are
- examination and diagnosis and treatment planning ($3)
- x ray for diagnostic purposes ($15)

As we aim to provide comprehensive dental care, time commitment would be a factor to consider. As such, patients should preferably be retirees, house makers, unemployed individuals or those with flexible working hours. Dental treatment would only be done on weekdays either morning or in the afternoon.

Please bear in mind that all treatments will be undertaken by qualified and supervised NUS undergraduates (year 3/4). All procedures and treatments are closely supervised by experienced and certified Doctors, who will verify, check on and approve said treatments.

If interested, please PM me. or e mail me dentalstudentnus @ gmail.com

Thank you!

Can you pm me ? That would be great , i am new to this forum. Thank you so much! I am enquiring about veneer implants costing

Sounds like Q&M. My wife went start this year and realised the consumables costs increased! I just go to my usual clinic at Bedok (Neo) and they don't even charge consumables!

Q&M is ****! Looks like Unity is no different!

Price increase year after year is it. This year they tell me they used some upgraded tools to clean. My scaling and polishing went from 80 to 120 this year.

Ocean Dental

Highly recommend Ocean Dental located at Clementi/ West Coast area!

My friend recommended me to look for Dr Terence Kooi and he is indeed the most patient and caring dentist I've ever met. So are the other dentists in Ocean dental too!
