Hi maxinger,

You sound like an expert but a lot of what you say I catch no ball. What will be helpful will be websites that show the charts of the indices futures that you are trading. Can you refer me to some website? Hopefully, no need to pay money.

valueinvestor quite a lousy story teller.

he must have been losing tons of money during this bear market.
so he sounded rather negative

Hi maxinger,

Would you be able to point me to some websites that provide charts for the index futures that you have been trading? Easier for me to follow you. Maybe if I am smart enough, can even ask some good questions. Right now, too blur to ask questions. This thread is a monologue at the moment.

i started trading / investing way before home computer was invented.

during the initial period of my trading, had to sell my sports car and house due to losses.

took me quite a while to develop my own holy grail.

so whose story to believe ?
u can believe those who claim that he has magical touch and has 100% forcasting accuracy.
or u can choose to believe those who had suffered losses, and make it finally .
anyway it doesn't bother me.

can't write much because US market opening soon.

No problem. Best of luck in your trading today. Looks like a bullish day for US futures. Good luck! Report your good news later:)

continue ....

i lost tons of money before.
so i know the pain when people lost money.

as far as I can, i will help people.
but then here are people in this forum who are very negative.

anyway, better to be kind and positive and optimistic rather than critical and negative and pessemistic.

the more kind and positive and optimistic you are, the more money you gain.

the more critical and negative and pessemistic you are, the more money you lose.

i use quite a few charts eg
esignal, TOS Thinkorswim, MT4, IB Interactive brokers (very lousy chart), Ensign.
I like esignal the best because it is easy to use, and has volume chart. but monthy charge about $300 (s/w plus data).

u probably can get free charts from TOS.
if u got account with IB, u might get free delayed charts.
if u got account with IG markets, u can get the charts.
hope that will give u some idea to kick start.

Hi Maxinger, what are the types (tick/minute) and time-frames of charts u look at for trading? 1, 2min?

as far as possible, i use volume based , not time based chart.

take for example nikkei.
I use 75 volume chart, 225 volume chart,
hourly and day charts.
75 volume chart - one complete candle after 75 contracts has been transacted.

for other derivatives, it will be different size volume chart as different derivatives have different size/value/volume traded ...

for forex, i doubt we can use volume chart. so have to use time based chart like day chart, hourly chart.

gold futures
there was a short signal yesterday 10pm.
why short it? see my previous posting.
how far will it go?
no idea.
as price goes down, simply shift stop order to protective stop.

sgp market how?

PRE MARKET ANALYSIS

how to analyse ?
look at simsci.

it is obviously downtrend.
it is downtrend until the chart says it is no downtrend.
cannot get the trend analysis wrong becos blind people also can see it is downtrend.

25 Aug 15 - there was long down tail candle indicating strong price rejection. ie level 301 a little supportive

28 Aug 15 - quite strong rejection at 334 level.
level 334 a little resistive.

yesterday day range quite healthy at 1.4%.

so today how?
now price at 321 level in the middle of yesterday range.
high chance it will be inside day.
