i wanna get a car die cast..but im not sure how big 1:18 is. is 1:18 about 20cm by 10cm?

Average size for 1:18 is about 25cm in length (measured Ferrari F40), smaller cars like the Mazda Miata etc will be smaller in the same scale :D Might want to consider getting Ikea's Billy bookcase with doors if you intend to get a few models. :D

This baby's coming out soon!

Yo richie! The Tomica diecast is one of the small ones? May have to sand off the original colour, apply surface primer and then spray the desired colour using paints meant for metal.

just to add on, in order to get the same shiny surface like a car, polishing is required as well.
and metal primer are recommended, after which, use hobby spray can, normal nippon spray can give very thick and ugly surface after spraying of paint...

can someone tell me why is die casting chosen to make this type of model car? or rather the advantage of using die casting?
is the whole model made through die casting or part of it?
becasue i'm doing a project regarding die casting.
Thanks.

Yo, unable to answer most of your questions for the time being, but do borrow De Garmo's Manufacturing book from the libraries if you can, its like the bible of manufacturing. :D

The main body shell is die-cast metal, the rest of it are bits of plastic.
