There's really nothing worth stealing at home, so the lock only acts as a deterrent, worth the convenience

Only Pros, I haven't found any Cons yet. I don't have to worry about forgetting to lock my door or leaving my keys somewhere.

Battery life is super stronk even after 1 year of usage, I changed the battery as advised by the installer as they may leaked.

I am using Lockin S30 Pro. :s12:
Second this. Best investment. Buy during sales with installation free

now not easy to buy standard alkaline batteries

used to get those super long lasting alkaline batteries, but now, almost cannot find

thought these locks are using rechargeable batteries like handphone etc

my one using the rechargeable battery pack that can be removed and charged by type-c cable~

my previous digital lock is using 4 x AAA, battery can only last few mths~ had used those rechargeable AAA batteries also dun last long, then i modified it to use powerbank~ after using 1.5yrs, i switch to current model~ :s22:

Somemore, there are brands that say cannot use rechargeable batteries. It is bad for the environment to throw away single use alkaline batteries.
1 year replaced 8 AA Alkaline batteries still Ok for moi, I throw them into the NTUC battery recycling box propery de.

Chances of battery going low is super duper low. The app will send me a notification when battery dips to 20%.

If u change from one door lock to another type of lock, will it leave a big circular home where the previous lock is? If like that how?

Using Aqara D100 for about 2 years. Previously was using Yale digital rim lock for about 3 yrs. Retired the Yale after HIP completed and change to Aqara due to main door changed to new one.

Aqara D100 are using rechargeable battery and last about 1yr before need to charge. For those who say battery flat cannot open, there are 2 options like using physical key or Using power bank with usb c cable connected to the lock to give power for user to unlock.

The installer is able to use wood filler to cover that hole. Not sure what is that called.

All of you who change to digital lock

not scared over time will spoil

and then have to change,

but the new locks do not fit the existing hole?
Think key lock can use for ages no need change. No need think of use what lock. One lock for a lifetime also can. Unless spoil, which is rare, and even if so probably decades later. Save the money and trouble.
