Judging by the good trend of the Malaysia's old analog signal reception it should probably be the same for Malaysia's DVB-T2 signals, cos the geography of the Johor coastline means that there will still be signals going into almost whole of Singapore, so as long as one's flat is relatively high enough reception should be no problem. :o

Well, your should be a good example since you stay in high floor in the North and if you can't even receive the signals then the rest of us can forget it.

Anyway, not really interested in watching local or even MY FTA channels, just want to fully utilize my USB TV stick. :)

I'm not jumping into any conclusion, just awaiting your finding.

BTW, iirc you were one of those who have a copy of firmware for those PRC cheapo STB, can you PM me where I can get hold of it as the posted link is not working.

Is it? I have no impression that I ever flashed firmware for my STB. :o

I think it's a receiver model T211. :o

Have you try other frequency/channel from here?

If you don't have it then it okay. Look like it a totally different model from the current one which is K2 Mini DVB-T2 STB.

Lucky this model got serial port so just need to solder pin header onto it and see how this box work.

Using funke indoor 2.0 yeah around that area too. Have to trail and error keep moving around till you find that sweet spot ;)

My bet if I get a better antenna I might receive better signals. Btw with amplifier on.

Active antenna, no wonder lah.

Think I rather stick to using MATV and watch local channels. Anyway, nowadays only watch news on TV, most FTA programme suck big time.

Yeah lol i think the only useful programme to watch on free local TV are the news and probably CNA :p i hardly even touch Ch8 now except for news. Ch5 even worse, think it was more than a year ago that i watch anything on Ch5 :s13: With Netflix in now, local rating should go down even more.

Which is why I wouldn't want to spend a bomb in getting those branded STB. Getting cheapo one in the first place is for my parent otherwise wouldn't even bother about this whole DTV thingy. Nowadays with Internet access, there are so many ways to watch TV news and drama.

You must be one of the lucky few. Tested with an AC Ryan with the AC Ryan antenna as well as a Mohu Leaf Ultimate. Nothing seen on 714Mhz at all in any part of the room. West, low floor, south facing.

Probably will try retuning the Draco in the MBR which is connected to the rooftop antenna later
