Hi folks
I'm encountering a strange problem which I hope some experts here can help, and also if other people have come across....
I have 2 digital set-top box, one mainly for recording and one mainly for viewing. Normally I have no issue getting the subtitles together with the video in the mts video files.
However, there are times when I record Indian movies from Vasantham channel and found that there's nothing in the DVB english nor tamil subtitles streams. So I thought, okay, maybe mediacorp too busy to have it ensub.... and I even wrote in to comment to them about the lack of engsub recently in their Indian movies!! (And they just wrote back saying thank you for feedback, they will feedback to their vasantham colleagues blah blah blah and that's it).
But last weekend, I remember to check and strangely, my viewing box was showing the engsub when showing the Indian show but when I checked my recorded mts file, no subtitles were found (though the DVB streams are in the file, but they're empty upon importing to Subtitle-edit).
So question is, is this a set top box issue, or has mediacorp changed the way they broadcast (the problem seems more frequent in past 6 mths)?
Note that I don't seem to have problems with ch 5 and 8 movies/series, AND not all Indian movies have this problem, only certain movies (but no discernible pattern).
Love to watch Indian movies but totally can't watch without engsub, and tough getting them elsewhere with proper engsub.... so if someone know how to solve, #forevergrateful !!

actually don't have to record. the programs are 'recorded' for you and catalogued properly by toggle.
just run toggle on your phone.
if you want to watch on bigger tv screen, get a chromecast dongle or mibox s, these devices allow you to chromecast the video to TV. They also support subtitle.
Er....
And sorry, but I don't watch movies on small screens, and internet set top box? sorry, don't watch streaming movie - can't stand watching the circle turning round and round in the middle of a movie).
toggle chromecasted to 80" big screen - small ?

circle turning round and round? are you still using old tel modem running at 2400bps?
Apr 2019 channel and frequency update on Malaysia DTT frequency for Southern Johor:
682MHz (Mux 1) - 2 HD and 4 SD channels
TV3 HD, NTV7, 8TV, TV9, TVAH (HD), BNC
698MHz (Mux 2) 5 HD channels
TV1 HD, TV2 HD, TV Okey HD, RTM Sports HD and BES (also known as Saluran Berita RTM).
Frequency rescan on digital TV STB / iDTV is required as all RTM channels has moved to second multiplex (another frequency), and Channel W has ceased transmission on Malaysia DTT platform.
If previously you can't receive Malaysia DTT channels on 682MHz in Singapore, perhaps you can try receive the 698MHz one.

If what you see is pixelated or frozen/still image, then the problem of your Draco is probably caused by below average signal intensity/signal quality for ch 31 (554 MHz) used for chan 8 and Vas, even if there is no problem for Vas....
Now the problem is how to fix the DARCO dvb-t2 (Bought it from Gain city by using IMDA $100 voucher)tv channel 8 lagging?
some question on ukobox.
if there anyway to use our own USB wireless adapter to connect to our wireless network?
Or we need to buy the one from the seller?
I have tired to use my tplink wireless adapter but it cant seem to connect to my wireless network. Anyone has the settings or solution. Thanks in advance.
