Please put your active antenna outside the window will be able to receive in your area. So far we didn't encounter any place in Singapore can't receive the digital Tv signal.

Hi I followed your advise. Unplug the TV booster antenna of AC Ryan since switch on no red light, so get a meter plus SCV cable and buy a special connector to extend the short antenna cable of ACRYAN to put at sliding windows at living room facing the sky as stay at eleven storey out of 12 storey.

Now can received all the seven digital channel, but only Channel 5, 8, and vas, suria four of them have HD, okto, CNA, U three channel is in digital SD format.

but if shift the antenna a bit facing windows also cannot receive well as video image keep jumping, put in living room near TV is worse.

Why not direct plug in TV antenna socket ? I use this way.. after all media player direct ARC to HDMI socket.

Yesterday went to M1 to collect the free DTV2 set top box for my dad's place.

Tried it at my place at Teban Gardens
All mediacorp channels received
Antenne is a little stick antenne , came with the set top box
Had it plug into a spare old TV
All stations received are clear, very clear.
Tried on my sony DTV1 tv too using hdmi and can also received the HD channels and other non HD channel.

But can't get any indonesian or malaysian digital channels .
Only local channels .

Need to stick out the antenna into the sky for foreign channels as their signal strength are much weaker. YMMV~

How far is your connection to your open window ?

Any blockage near your window ?

I went and buy a 20m cable to connect all the way from my TV in my living room to the outside window.......................:s22:

My advise is don't be so crazy like me unless you really wanted to watch those programs so badly........................:s8:

I am now thinking of undoing the thing......................:D

My place is opposite pandan reservoir, no blockags.
TV is near window.
The STB has been pre set to mediacorp channels,
Would try to do a factory reset then try scanning again to see if its able to pick up indo or malaysian channel

the cable should be quite easy to hide one bah imho.

Anyway I heard from kiwi, HD chan is now avaliable on DVB-C? If you current tv is situated near the wall socket and your tuner is compatible, why not give DVB-C a shot?

I'm already enjoying watching Channel 8 HD over DVB-C unencrypted on my Samsung TV since about 2 months ago... :s12:

Anyone know if Sony W904A series supports DVB-C so that I don't need to buy an additional tuner? If it does, anyone has any idea how to get it setup?

Thanks guys!

Better get TV with DVB-T2 as you will be getting all the Digital channels and it is future proof at least for the next few years.
