Is it really that bad? actually this is the first time i heard a bad review for Red star.

He's not the only one. I don't think Red Star is fantastic either. Its average at best. Alot of other people think so too.

Sad to say, I agree with swatchie - their standard drop quite abit compared to when I first try them as a kid.

My Humble House and Club Chinois under the Tung Lok group is having 1-for-1 lunch at $38++ modern Chinese cuisine dim-sum now for UOB cardholders. Valid on weekends and public holidays from 12 to 2.30 p.m.

U sure mah? Check their website, no promo for dimsum leh..

Called them yesterday and confirmed they do have this offer, thanks! But they are almost fully booked till Jan 2009!...wow!...However managed to get a table for 4 in late Dec...must try man, almost fully booked till Jan!!

They do have halal dimsum. Rvm there use to be one near Gelang Serai, wonder is it still there..

Glad you liked it. Going to try Yan Ting's dim sum brunch end of this month. Will feedback after that.
Heard Pine Court has dim sum brunch @$38++ now also. Anyone tried it?

great.. i intend to try the yan ting also, although i think might not be as good as cherry garden. gonna try the pan pac one at the end of the month. twice i went hai tien lo only ate the dim sum ala carte. not the buffet.

All things being equal, I would expect Yan Ting's buffet to be better cause of the price lol. Its $68++ haha.

Lao Beijing beri popular. The buffet starts at 3pm but you must go there at ard 2 pm to get a queue no. or else later sure can't get in.

This Wed I go, den a lot of ppl outside. In the end, go eat something else.

Not that I know of actually. Actually I didn't know Hai Tien Lo had a dim sum buffet. I only know they have a brunch buffet on weekends and they serve lots of cooked food. I've tried it once when it was $52++.
