i'm surprised no one reviewed tung lok seafood arena @ arena country club?

i wouldn't say this is the best but they are easily better than red star, yum cha and to a lesser extent zhou's kitchen, lao beijing, ah yat.

service is good. the whole place is clean and nicely done-up, very comfortable feel.

price is reasonable. 19.80++ i think? but u need a minimum of 4 pax.

i think is the same offer as the tung lok in east coast.

just had that few wks ago.

definitely worth the price

Does the Tung Lok at Arena Country Club still serve the dim sum buffet? Cos when I look at the website, I can't seem to find the dim sum menu, only the ala-carte buffet is there.

Avoid Ala carte buffet at Chow's Kitchen at Novena Sq 2. Horribly curt service, slow serving. Century egg porridge was lukewarm and had only a few slivers of century egg. Almond jelly was 1-3 tiny cubes of almond jelly + few squares of fruit cocktail in syrup. Everything else was cold or barely lukewarm. Not enough filling for everything else also. Taste is also merely edible. Cost us $25 each including GST and service charge.

ON the other hand, Highly recommended
Venue : Red Star Restaurant 红星酒家 (Blk 54 Chin Swee Road #07-23 - Tel: +65 6532 5266) - a Traditional Push Cart dim sum place in Chinatown area. The groundfloor looks like some deserted HDB flat, but upstairs is like wow, fully packed!
No buffet, but the food is really high quality. Especially the 明虾饺 and egg tart. And everything we ordered from pushcarts was piping hot.
Cost us $16 each including service chage and GST

I don't think their buffet is worth it. Best to stick to ala carte. I have a writeup on their buffet here. I have a couple of other writeups on their ala carte as well :o
