Should just let karung guni do the job let, them earn abit. They can go straight from collection to recycle company.

Now put in a machine need additional work. Get people in between to clear and wait for collection. More work more complicated process. Like cost more money. Typical of local way do thing. Can't help feel its all for the money. Difference is money pass to whose hand.

And speaking of scavengers, think is seeing more people rummaging through the recycle bin with their bare hands for scraps of such. Sure will have people throw their recycle trashs there with bottles and cans one.

Exactly more and more people rumpaging rubbish bin for extra cash.
NEA should hire these as PT clean the machine or help collect cans from business.

NEA sponsored youtube video to promote bcrs. Wonder NEA paid them how much? In the video they ordered the most expensive and 2nd most expensive items in the cafe.

Technically, a real recycling would require you to remove it. anyway, seeing their mix can and aluminium together... is just another japalang recycling.
Seen the way they shred the containers, the waste that they took out from the machines. I agree with ur opinion.

Frankly speaking I don't think BCRS will last

Probably at most 1 or 2 years max once the economy of scale optimizes

Why stop at bottles? They should also pay up for every kg of garbage collected then SG will be truly clean

That means whoever at NEA anyhow copy UK deposit return scheme machine design.
They never factor that there are scavengers who recycle bags of can at once.

Copy and paste is never a good idea.
NEA should factor the volume since many are deposit bags of can.
They should do at Recycle point for those who want to recycle bags of can.
i think nowadays if you notice, most mall rubbish bin also changed to those lock type.

the rummaging of trash bins will get worse
I can't disagree with you on this

Personally I've seen more of such things happening with my own eyes

Do I blame them for doing that? Not really since I've seen them doing it even before the launch of bcrs

Just that it's actually more prevalent that's all
