i would say more then 50% will not return.

Yes the rough calculation for return rate is 1.8 to 2%. Meaning to say 1 to 2 cans out of every 100 cans sold is put into the RVM for 10 cents. Either the stats is wrong, or there are a lot of Sinkieporeans

if that is so simple this program will not be out there
every can and bottle will charge u extra 10cents no matter from BCRS anot...
if they dont charge you 10cents upfront mean they have up the price to inc the 10cents or more

Its already collected by the gov from drinks manufacturer when it was manufactured and sold to distributors or resellers.

NTUC has included the Bulgaria yogurt drink 150ml small bottles in the BCRS exercise. Bought 2 bottles and tried to return the empty bottles at the BCRS machine at 204 Bishan Street 23. Refund for both bottles failed although machine can recognise the product. Error messages included 1. the product is invalid 2. the product is not recognised 3. the barcode is damage. Tried for 20 times. Threw both bottles into the recycling bin in the end. The machine should be working as i returned a big Green Tea bottle yesterday and got the 10 cent back.

For all out there who love to drink Bulgaria Yougurt drink, it is now more expensive by a 10cent since refund cant be done. Also, dont know if NTUC tried to return the bottles in testing or happily-happily include all bottles into the BCRS programme. Then our 10 cents go to who in the end ?

Things are getting more expensive in Singapore and with this kind of silly tricks, it will get more and more expensive in the end. Poor people how ? Yawn.

i bet more than 50% of such bottles don't end up recycled, so who pockets the money differencial in the end?

One of the most useless initiative i ever seen implemented in singapore whereby in the name of recycling, some products selected only can refund and some cannot.

Thanks for heads up.. Yea whats with these ppl machiam dont test, making the scheme even more worse than it is..

But to be fair, if the 10 cents label printed, then its not really NTUC fault if u arent able to get ur refund.. This got to do with the supplier or even BCRS..

Of course if not printed or no label and they charge u additional 10 cents then its their fault for overcharging u, pls take it up with NTUC and find Bro Ng, ppl ministar again tiagong now the voice louder..

Manual refund is only those that were accepted but for some reason payment cmi.

Shocking gahmen wasn't involved more in this. Seems like they did it the typical way, just throw it to private sector.

Some new product with the 10 cent logo need a few days to register / sync with the machine. Like the OATSIDE bottles. It took around one week before I can scan it.
