Experts out there. I need some help & recommendations. planning to DIY my own pc for the very 1st time, still doing research to make sure I won't miss any small parts & hopefully get it setup by end of this year. Using pcpartpicker.com I pick out this few parts to get. The ongoing PC show is selling some parts where its able to save a few dollars here & there but might buy most of the parts from Qoo10 Videopro shop. Can recommend a cheap but easy to setup casing, saw a lot of under $100 casing on lazada but don't know how to choose.

Intel Core i5-6500 3.2GHz Quad-Core Processor

Asus H170M-Plus mATX(bundled with Win10 64bit OEM +$148)
or
ASRock H170M Pro4 (no bundle)

Kingston HyperX Fury 8GB (2x4GB) DDR4-2400 CL15 1.2V
or
Gskill Ripjaws-V 2400Mhz 2x4GB CL15
or
Corsair Vengeance LPX 8GB (2x4GB) DDR4 DRAM 2400MHz C14

Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive
(if possible to save somewhere might consider SSD, can SSD be partition as well?)

SeaSonic S12II 520W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply

CD/DVD drive

Since I'm not a gamer so will not OC & might just be using onboard graphics while waiting for any offers on graphic cards. is Cooler master Hyper 212X suitable to replace the Intel fan because I don't want my pc to be too hot even if after prolong hrs of usage. Is there any parts that I missed out?
If I get a mobo with no OS installation CD bundled, how do I go abt installing OS? I know some sites able to download pirated OS+working product key but I prefer using ONLY genuine OS.
I wanted to save more by looking at AMD CPU & Mobo but nvr use b4 so very blur even after researching.
Is mynextcom & sgpcmart online still able to buy, I see like their site & fb not updated. Thanks In Advance

maybe u might want to list out ur usage and budget?
might want to play FM again in future. for now, mostly left bluestack running at the same time while watching shows. doing the same thing on my current laptop asus A45V uses abt 5.1gb as seen from the task manager. Budget not exceeding 1.2k including monitor

If you not gamer, just get 1 x 8GB. If you need more RAM next time, you can just get 1 more 8GB stick. Just get the cheapest RAM will do as you cannot OC ($47 for 8GB DDR4 2133).

Board get B150 will do. Eg. MSI B150M Bazooka

i5-6500 + Asus H170M plus $471.
1 x 8GB DDR4-2133 RAM $47 (online may be cheaper).

OS, you just buy the key online around $40 only. Download the OS and install using thumb drive
mobo wise I will think abt it. but I thought if the mobo supports dual memory must get 2x rather than 1x ram?

make sure you compare price don't get ripoff
will finalize everything & compare prices b4 buying, looking at lazada & Qoo10 with codes & coupons. Will also look at itfair prices. newegg seems to have lower prices but if parts DOA how?

yes... need to set is as primarily in bios. if use dvd/cd-rom then need to set dvd/cd-rom. I still remember long time ago when i use window 98 and run command line to install the cd due to corrupted files :s13:

I'm thinking of taking the i3-6300 instead of i5-6500 so I could probably squeeze in a Samsung 850 Evo 120/250GB M.2 would that be a good choice. multi-tasking could not be avoided these days so does the core differences going to affect much?

If you're planning to only build end of this year, come back in November or early December for an updated recommendation.

Many things would have changed by then.

'end of the year' is just a way of saying, if I can finalized the parts I needed, I can always build early.

ya u can if u think u dun have enough budget for everything. u can even go for i3 + b150 board to save u that much. and dun both with m.2 unless u have good casing.

I narrowed down the parts but not finalized yet. The prices are as it stands as of 7th Jun at where I found.
Although I could find cheaper casing but I have to admit I wanted a nice looking one as that will be sth you will be facing for many years down the road.

MSI B150M Mortar $189(i3-6320 +$202)(Videopro)
CORSAIR CX series CX500M 500W $115(Lazada)
Crucial BX200 240GB 2.5" SATA SSD $108(Lazada)
SAMSUNG 850 PRO SSD 128 GB $115(Fuwell Qoo10)
Cooler Master Hyper 212X CPU Cooler $59.95(Videopro Qoo10)
G.SKILL Ripjaws 4 Series 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 $78.99(Newegg)
NZXT Phantom 240 Mid Tower Chassis $94.99(Newegg)

Optional item: Win10 Home OEM 64bit $148(Videopro Qoo10)
CD/DVD drive $24
I want to ask if I have the OEM disk, for future installations in case of changing mobo/cpu, do I just need to buy product key?

tks for reminding me, I 4got the weight of the casing is going to chalk up the delivery fee. check lazada pricing-$139
What abt Armaggeddon Series by Leapfrog http://www.lazada.sg/leapfrog-distribution-pte-ltd/ it looks nice & it's SG company. Phanteks Eclipse P400/400S & Carbide Series Air 240 look nice as well but is in the same price range as the NZXT 240

Samsung SSD for the OS only. Since it's for the OS, I think it's better to choose sth a popular brand & there are many good reviews when google.
Crucial SSD is so maybe one or two games and other stuff. It's consider cheap when it's on offer & the reviews also not bad.
Already have a My Book 4tb so will have no use for a 1tb hdd. Instead of getting a 500gb or less hdd might as well get 2 ssd.

I prefer to have OS on a single disk & not mix with other installed software.

For casing I think this looks good, Armaggeddon T11 Elvatron but can't find much info & reviews. Anyone using this brand like to share ur thoughts?

1) Creating a USB flash drive for Win10, should I use Home/Pro. Many product key sellers offer both at within $10 difference. are most of them trustable?

2) MSI b150 Mortar mobo has front USB3.1 but most cases have only USB3.0 will it work when connected?
